I was there...for a day :D Seriously though, I was regretting leaving on Friday, but plans are plans I guess. I had a freakin blast. Did you break anything? Did you end up guiding the greens on Friday or what? I was going to go with your group until Jeremiah said you both were doing greens, so I went with Ted, which worked out well, that was a great group.

At least you made it for a day.
I got you those raffle tickets, but your #'s didn't get picked.
The only "damage" I got was a torn CV boot. I just kept it good and packed with mud all weekend, and it held, so that was cool.
And on Saturday, there were two Green groups, I think JT and Jeremiah took one group, and Paul Trautner took the other. I took another Blue group, and we went out and tore it up. :D
I had a few people come up and tell me mater of factly "Ted's the man". So I guess he was a good guide, huh?

Thanks, Brian. It was cool to finally meet you, thanks for flying out to wheel with us. I'll have to come out to see you guys, see how you operate on that side of the country.
Paragons trails definately need better markings. It has gotten a LOT better than it used to be, but there is still a need for improvememnt.

Dunno man, I was a little surprised that that many people didn't show. However, the per capita expenditure on ticket sales was the same, maybe a tad higher this year!

They are probably still there, that's a spam account, and I don't check it very often. Sorry.
Yes I signed up for take over and did not show. My apologies, normally though I am not missed so I didnt' think this event would be any different.
Here is the list of my excuses in no particular order.
My trail mutt ate my road map!
My wife revoked the weekend kitchen pass.
The blinker fluid was low and Vato Zone was out of the right brand
I got a flat in the mall ramping the parking blocks
the chrome on the exhaust tip was tarnished and needed to be polished
when asked nicely if I could take my dick out of the freezer for the weekend (because all the guys were taking theirs) my wife wouldn't let me so I got embarrassed.
I figured it was going to be like any other summer band camp and I already have heard all the stories.
Murderman wasn't going so I wouldn't have any one to flame this week
the kids need school clothes so the budget wouldn't allow for gas money
Tacozilla wasn't making an appearance so I wasn't going be able to watch Shannon break anything taking it off the trailer.
My SAS brackets weren't dry from being painted and I didnt' want to scratch them or get them dusty–wait I havn'te finished my sac yet so that one may not fly.
the church choir was performing that weekend at the local strip club and needed moral support!
A long lost friend dropped in from out of town which I hadn't seen in three days so I cancelled all my annual plans.
the computer monitor put a huge dent in my front fender from all my webwheeling and I can't get it to buff out.
The hardware store ran out of all the right color of rattle can paint and I couldn't match the rest of the rice burner accessories on my truck.
Do I need any more excuses? :D
seriously, I was looking forward to Take Over all year, but as was stated earlier, life happens and somethings have to take a back seat, family, job security, and health have to take priority for me over my hobbies and sports so this year it wasn't in the cards… Looks like everyone had a good time though.

Yeah, Marshall you are right, that post was mostly an attempt at humor. But like you said there will be other off-road adventures, but as a wise man once said, "you have to choose your battles wisely"
I would have loved to make it but shit does happen and usually happens with a shit storm, at least for me!
OT, don't you practically live at paragon? If so, I would like to hook up with some regulars maybe next summer for a weekend. It is something I have to plan out since it is a 10 hour drive for me there. But I would like to check it out in the future.

what did you do for full hydro, made the kit yourself or order it. I am piecing mine together.
just buy an orbital valve, charlyne, make or buy the adapter plate for mounting, buy charlynn orbitrol column, hoses, and a ram, a cooler as well as a larger PS pump res. will also help.. you can also look on old fork lifts for the orbital valve. here is a pic of my buddies i setup on his bronco II.

Thems about the best excuses I've heard. I'm gonna jot some down and use them for work.
yeah, I think the one with the choir being in the local strip joint should go over real well there at work. :xdevil:
I think I have heard most of them on the boards…funny what the ole, feeble mind retains.

I might have to edit that one a touch to include myself in the choir so it will play for work. It's kinda weak just being a bystander so it might not pass muster as it is. Overall there is plenty of good base material to work with though. Thanks again.
