Ok kiddos, I need some more recent pictures from you so I can update the website a bit.
What, you didn't know we had a website?? :p http://ar-ttora.com
So, post up no more than 2 of your favorite pics of your trucks, group shots, mall parking lot pics, etc. As big a possible if you can. I can't promise your picture will make the site, so don't get your feelings hurt if you don't make it. :xcrybaby: Also, if you want your pictures returned to you, paypal me $2 for postage and you'll get them back. :D
Also, take a moment to review the members page, and see if you need to be added, or anyone removed (:xdevil:), or if you want your info changed.
I'm open to any other suggestions, too. I have a few in the back of my mind. :)

You can post them here. But not if you are going to attach them with the forum tools (makes small pictures). Photobucket, imageshack, etc are fine.
If you need to email them, I can provide my email address.

I like the pic with the jeep in the background. We are a toyota club, but we also should be diversified in the offroad community. It is clear that is a pick of a toyota, there just happens to be a jeep on the trail as well. Its a good thing in my opinion. ;)

Thanks for the pics guys. :kewl: I've got some stashed away that I'll be using in addition to these.
As for a progress report, I've revamped the "Join" page to something more useable, and I hope to make the "Members" page sortable, clickable, etc, in the future.
In the meantime, how would you feel about a chatroom/shoutbox type thing on our page? It'd be a total ripoff of what other sites have done, only it'd be ours to chat amongst ourselves.

I like it (the shoutbox), but is there ever enough people on here to make it worthwhile? I guess you can do it and we'll find out!
More power to ya, Josh!! Good work!

A shoutbox would be cool, but honestly today was the first time I've checked the website in over a year. I doubt that we'd actually use it.

well remember the website is where people see us first.
Josh, "if you build it they will come" :kewl:
Ive also thought about getting someone with good equipment ( like Ted at Takeover) that would get shots of us all beside/in front of our trucks :dunno:

Thanks. :) As far as worthwhile - it's really nothing at all to get one going. I think there are at least 3-4 of us each night lurking around. Might be nice to chat once in a while.

I see it as a pretty toy that will be cool for awhile, but the novelty will probably wear off quick. But who knows. I may turn it on anyways just for giggles.
I'd be cool if we could have an integrated one like Marlin, etc. so you could chat and forum at the same time, but I have no control (other than limited mod powers) over this forum.

So I guess the shoutbox would be on the other website? If that's the case, yea, it might not be worthwhile.
I know the Tennessee chapter has a separate forum from TTORA that they chat on. Maybe we should look to moving our chapter dealings from here to an actual BB? Just throwin' ideas out there... :2cents:

Bump!
I've actually spent quite a bit of time this week recoding the members list and tying it in with the join page. That really more behind the scenes stuff.
But, since I'm on the topic of the members list, if you aren't on it, I'd appreciate it if you could fill out the "Join" page so we can get you on it.
Also, I'm wondering about who some of those folks are. Mainly the ones with no trail info, truck info, or forum username. Do we have ways of contacting these folks and seeing if they care to maintain an active membership?
Next round of updates I plan on doing is finally updating the main banner at the top, and get the signup page for our Takeover up and running. Then it's updating the links page, the places page, and maybe put a calendar on the events page. We'll see. ;)

I have phone number for most of if not all the members who arent forum members. What would be the bennifit of being a non computing member? Most of the non computing members I know surf the web but either arent willing to or just don't know how to post up.
I will do some cell phonebook searching and send ya phone numbers for them if youd like but youll have to keep it private knowledge as I don't nessicarrly have permission to give their numbers out. I'm shure they might someday like a call inviting them to our event or what not.

Honestly, too much work for little gain. That'd require everyone to have an account on the ar-ttora.com site. Personally, I'm not a fan of that. Plus the overhead of collecting the pictures, and getting new members that wish to have their picture put up there.
Also, with the forum software, you can put a separate profile pic (different than the avatar) of what ever you want.
