I found a WARN XP9000 with no cable or roller assembly for $200. Is it a good deal if it works?

that doesn't look like any Warn I've ever seen...nothing listed anywhere that even looks close, especially that motor.
any more pics?

if it is a Warn it is an "i" series.

I run this winch on my truck and love it. $200 is a good price for it.

great writeup!
they also have rebuild writeups for a warn winch controller and a hi-lift

So, those came out in the '90s? I gave up trying to find some sort of list of all Warn winches over the years...I suck at the intarweb :p

I'd still offer $100 and see what happens (no line or fairlead) but yea, $200 is a good price.
then, just rebuild it :D

Can’t tell much from just a picture. That looks likes deal as long as the winch wasn’t submerged or in a front-end wreck. Your going to at least need to see it to check it out, maybe even do a little testing if you can.

That’s because Newbies haven’t been around long enough to see much. One thing newbies are GREAT at is stating something they know nothing about.

I don’t come to this site much because 99% of whats posted is BS. 3rd post I read and some blowhard is proving my point.

That looks like a Warn HS9500i. I had a HS9500 (non i- the "i" is for Integral solenoid) on my old Tacoma; great winch. My brother still has a HS9500i. The HS stood for high speed as it has a faster line speed than the comparable 9000#.

Why are you chiming in? Did I step on your bros dress?

You think 5-6 years on TTORA makes someone an expert? Besides I was thinking 4x4 newbie. That winch model is older than most of us around here. Anyone who’s spent any time in the back country would have seen one, unless they are a 4x4 newbie.

Of course some might think they are 4X experts just because a guy they work with have a 4X.

If people are going to post a bunch of BS like they’re an expert, they should be ready for someone to call you on it.

compared to many here I certainly am a 4x4 noob and the reason I'd never seen that winch before :D I learn new stuff everyday.
keep it up! posts like yours are sorely needed around here...used to be the norm back in the Delphi days

You may be an "expert" at 4x4 tech, but you sure are failing at people skills.
