Done!
Note: according to the info it pertains to the southwest NF... but that's okay, I wanna wheel out there one day!
Hopefully this movement of info collection will go east too. (or has it already happened?)

Restricted land access anywhere nationwide should concern us, so if we have the opportunity to set a precidence in one part of the country, it may help us in our back yard one day.
IMO the power of the internet and our forum could have a massive effect, we have access to thousands of likeminded individuals right here at TTORA, and if we can all band together, the things we could accomplish in protecting national land access would be amazing!

Yeah, I'm a little confused about what they are talking about and asking for myself. Technically, there is already a public comment period associated with major undertakings and proposed changes to land use management plans or policies, so this seems rather redundant. I didn't actually see where they posed a question, so it's hard to give a good response. In any case, these days I jump at any chance the Forest Service gives me to state my opinion!

10-4. It sure would have been nice to have all gazillion of the wheelers in California writing letters to keep Tellico open.
By the way, just respond by e-mail and don't say where you're from. That way, they pretty much have to assume you're within their jurisdiction.

I get the sneaking suspicion the avenues used to close Tellico will be used in the SW. Perhaps there is law that requires the FS to exercise this request? Or perhaps they "learned" something through the Tellico closure? I'm tellin' ya, something don't smell right.
X2 on the give our opinion though (fat lotta good that seems to do :o)
Don't cancel the gig at your place tho!! :D:D:D

yes, it would have, and i'm sad that i came in so late in the end of tellico - i would've been over posting and seeking help from all the other chapters that people would've been annoyed!
BUT ... maybe we can start the "you scratch our back we'll scratch yours" mentality and preserve what little public land access we have left... worth a shot!
