well, i called and they dont book the "room" after 3pm so we could have a late lunch meeting say 2pm or a dinner and just whoever gets there first grabs the tables we need in our name

Naw, I can't make that. If you think about it, that would mean I'm leaving Jonesboro pre-4:00 pm, drive to NLR (2+ hrs), eat n meet (2+ hrs), then drive home to J'boro (2+ hrs). . .

Ya'll do the meeting, I just can't see that much 'evening' drive-time devoted to a 45 minute meeting. Ya'll tell me what I'm supposed to do, and I'll tell you if I'm gonna' do it.

Kids raffle, that's what I got on my list. A few slinkies, a rubix cube, RC FJ Cruiser, n' a whole lot of frisbee's . . . and I really don't know what kinda' girl gifts to buy. Do need suggestions here. Anybody have any way to know how many kids are gonna' be there? It's in April and school is still session. I remember Kowboy giving about 200 gifts to 12 kids last year. Suggestions?

well, there was planned to be some discussion about the Ross Foundation and other trail cleanup projects and announcement of the new "Land/trail use Secretary".
I have a few of the Ross Foundation notebooks explaining there purpose in allowing there 18,000 acres as use as "public recreation"

I personally would prefer the meeting to be around 2-4 pm myself closer to 2pm would be better

I wouldn't expect a ton of kids. We've actually never done a kid's raffle but I don't think anyone would be opposed to one. The best plan would be to only hand out one per kid. Any extras can returned or saved for next year or whatever. As far as girl gifts go, for the ages that'll be there we can probably get away with gender-neutral toys.

Good point. So what is the word? Who is actually going to show up at this meeting? And what time do we want to have it? So far the only people I know that might come are glen, lance, and myself.

I'm still juggling the idea around. I have other reasons to come to LR, this may be the finishing detail. What time have yall decided on anyhow?

I'll be in town (Hot Springs, Little Rock, whatev...) February 26, 27, 28th. I'd prefer a meeting on the 28th, as I'll be at the track with family on the 27th. Or, a Friday meeting would work, possibly. Just throwin' that out there...
