Who's planning on attending takeover this year in JV?

I just got my request from work back today, and I have Friday off. Anyone planning on heading down thursday night or Friday morning?

Forget the whole driving back Sunday night. Me and KRT left KOH at 6PM friday, I didnt get home here in Sac til 4:30 sat morn, only to go to work at 8. I'll take thursday and monday too just to have a full day to drive down and not worry

I'm not sure if anyone else is contemplating going, I know you lovers are gonna try and get a cabin somewhere, but I have been talking to Robert (my03runner) and he's trying to get a group site for his guys, but doesnt have too much interest, so if any nor cal guys wanna camp we might end up splitting a group site with the NV guys right by the staging area. Let me know

I just moved back to the area and logged into the TTORA. I was excited to see that it the event was going to be in SO CAL. I was at the one in 2004 or 05 that we had in Tahoe. That was lots of fun. I hope to be able to go to this one as well. I am waiting now to see what my schedule is and sign up in the next couple of weeks.

Do we have any group get togethers at a pizza place or something sooner than that so that I can meet up with some of the gang? I am looking for someone to help me with putting on some Tundra brakes and a body lift on my 2001 tacoma. Any suggestions on finding some help would be awesome. I want to do the mods before the get Socal event.

We can have a get together. Most of us know each other pretty well but we can do a meet and greet. I'm not sure that the group camping w the nv guys will work out but we can figure it out

Per Shannon on the national board:

Based on feedback from those planning to attend and various economic factors, we have decided to scale back the TakeOver event this year. Instead of the traditional TakeOver event with catered dinner, raffle prizes, and vendor showcases, we will be coordinating with individual chapters to host more "Regional TakeOver" events making it easier for more people to be able to attend one. The Socal chapter will still be the spotlight TakeOver event this year, but in addition to that event, other state chapters will be hosting TakeOver events as well. The AR Chapter recently held their TakeOver event in April. The PA Chapter is currently hosting a TakeOver event in July and The GA Chapter will be hosting a TakeOver event in September.

The Socal TakeOver event will be scaled down to a maximum of 60 vehicles and the dinner portion of the event has been cancelled. The good news is that there will no longer be a fee to attend the event! Those that have already paid will be given refunds. The dates for the Socal event remain the same. Those that have already registered will remain registered for the event. The Socal TakeOver page and registration will be updated shortly to reflect these changes.

Not sure, I'm back home for the summer now so I'm not sure if its worth the +/- 6 hour drive up there...

I'm still planning on going but am in a state of flux at the moment. My back went out again so I may wind up having surgery...again...in July so that will put me down for at least a month, putting me out for TO as well as all July wheeling :(

Yea, it really sucks. I will most likely miss all the summer wheeling including the Dusy trip I'd planned to lead for the socal gang :(
I got into the truck today to start if up...been so long I wondered about the battery...and could barely get in and out.

I'd leave Monday morning and Thursday night, but Ashlee has school. Luckily me and her are able to switch off on driving. Anyone want to caravan?
