Just wanted to say thanks to you Texas guys, from the start of hurricane Katrina, Chris offering us La guys a place to stay, to after it hit Don checking up on me to see if I made through it, to the city of Houston for opening up the Astrodome for thousands of now homeless people, and all other Tx. folks opening thier homes to complete strangers in a time of need. I am a local Deputy Sheriff here in La. and I have talked to alot of people passing through my parish to get to N.O. to help, and most have all been from Texas. I met a bunch of you at Barnwell Mt at the T.O. and I was really impressed with your hospitality then, and even more so now. Until now I have only looked at Tx. as a bordering state, now I see a neighbor. Sorry for the long post, just thought you should know that you guys are appriciated.

The TX State Guard is getting called up to help in LA and may be deployed in the next couple of days.
