you say this now, LOLNorcalvp said:If i ever needed sliders for my 4Runner i'd buy those in a heartbeat!... But sadly my 4runner will probably never need sliders...

I'd buy them just to ward off shopping carts
then there's no problem slap on the sliders, making sure they stick out far enough to act as a step, and slather them with that no-skid stuff from HD.Norcalvp said:Hey my 4Runner has the Super Stylin' factory running boards. not to mention that Amber is 5' 2" she uses the steps all the time... And i did say "Probably" someday it might get some.
I built mine at 60", had A massive rock get in between the tire and slider. Minor carnage, but it still had to be repaired. I would think hard about it ,we have 62.5" between the flares (TRD's) on reg cabs.........my :2cents:KStacoma said:shit i'm glad you posted it, i'm actually gonna buy some now for my reg. cab
Hey good info i appreciate it, so i'd have 2.25" of exposed sheetmetal before and after the slider? there fore if I was sliding on a rock, it would basically eventually just slide the rock right into the unexposed portion instead of the tire?jh3 said:I built mine at 60", had A massive rock get in between the tire and slider. damn and 99 is so appealing lol. Well thanks for steering me in the right direction, now I wont end up purchasing sliders twice I guess.jh3 said:Yeah I've got 1"+ showing and it was enough for a golf cart sized rock to get in there, if I were to build another set I'd go the full 62.5"
build your own, I'll have some pics up soon of mine.......I'm proudKStacoma said:damn and 99 is so appealing lol. Well thanks for steering me in the right direction, now I wont end up purchasing sliders twice I guess.
