I recently purchase a 85 Toyota truck with a diesel and 4 runner axles and frame. Sorry for the vague description but I don't know much more than that about it at the moment. I could use a little help identifying the drive train if anyone can point me in the right direction?

I can't help you with your question, but I will say that there are going to be a LOT of people on TTORA jealous of your diesel!

Does the truck run? Maybe you can make it to our off-road run at Redbird (Dugger, IN, about 45 mins south of Terre Haute) on the 17th, I'm sure you'll get all your questions answered then!

Welcome to InTTORA!

I would really love to go, but I am in a wedding on the 17th. Below is a link to a video of my last trip to redbird.

I'm not sure what kind of information you're looking for but instead of me just copy/pasting an overload of numbers and what not check out the bible over at Piratehttp://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=775780. It'll either answer your questions directly, give you a link to follow or allow you to narrow down your questions for us.

I'll be back in the Haute with the Runner come September.

Thank you for that info, I will look over it and see what I can find out. Then I can get the appropriate signature setup.

Really, did not think it was that rare. I had a cummins and now a duramax, really love diesel trucks. I previously wheel'd a 79 Cherokee Chief and really wanted a diesel to wheel. Found this one over the winter on ebay.

diesel themselves are not rare (obviously) but toyota diesels in the U.S is rather rare. Toyota never offered a U.S truck with that option although there has been a lot of crying and begging for them to do so.

I can only remember one other member on the national board with a diesel toy, and if I remember right he actually implanted it from another brand.

Just to correct you there were diesels offered here.....most found their way into 2wd though.....I plan on going diesel sometime...have not decided if I am staying with a Toyota or VW TDI...I am leaning towards the VW since the aftermarket is huge for them

nice rig BTW

when was the last one offered? not doubting you, you just always here everyone looking for them and the typical answer is "they were not produced for the U.S-emissions"

I've seen a few for sale, they had one for sale in Terre Haute last fall, right after my wreck. I was contemplating buying it if my truck was totaled. Anyways, the one I saw was an early 90's pre-taco regular cab 4x4.
