How many bolts have you got per side?
My hitch is the style that bolts to the bottom of the bumper at two points and to the frame with two bolts on each side. I tried flipping it moving it forward and drilling two additional bolt holes after a body lift last year, ended up bending the frame rails the first time I towed. Now I have it shortened 3" on the sides and added an extra brace on the inside that attaches farther up the frame rails.

theres 3 bolts that hold the hitch tube to the brackets, i just flipped the hitch tube itself, raising the receiver 3-4"

After taking a closer look at the pictures I see the difference. Yours has bolted ends, mine are welded. You didnt have to mess with the frame to hitch portion of the mount, just the center box section.
Good trick for a few inches of clearance. You gonna mod the bumper to fit back on?

I wonder if that would bring mine back up against the bumper, like it was pre 3" BL? Hmmmmm

That would depend if yours was boltted together like his or welded. i had to cu the weld off mine and move it up 3" and weld it back in. Looks factory and hadnt had any problems pulling a trailer or hittin a chain.
