what do you want to know about them?

2005 was the highest HP of any of the runners, they are solid, wheel decent and the v8's run really strong. the ATRAC system they have is ALMOST as good as 1 locker.
my wife drives a '03 v8 and loves it. its been beat pretty hard but still drives good and straight.
if you get one with the xreas(sp?) suspensin plan on pulling it all off to lift it much

wifes runner, ive added sliders since these pics

That's pretty sick, however I'm not to fond of that tiny rear axle :p

Theres a guy on YotaTech with a pretty ridiculous one I was reading his build thread today.

These things look pretty nasty when lifted. Stock... Bleh mini van lookin. LIfted... = Muy Beuno.

I need some other help in decieding, because frankly I don't feel like lugging around a bunch of work gear to look at a vehicle and no one I know has one of these.

Along with selling machinery, I also an am insurance adjuster. I carry a ton of gear with me, including a fold up ladder that unfolds to 28 feet. One of the best ladders on the market and I don't have to carry something on my roof everyday (it gets old after theres a ladder rack on your vehicle for a year).

But the ladder folded up is just about 6 feet long. Such ladder would have to fit with the seats folded forward laying down without propping the ladder up ontop of the folded seats.

I would also like some custom storage ideas if anyone has any. Definitely would be a plus.

The only gripe i have, is the interior is small, (smaller than my 3rd gen and way smaller than my 1st gen) and with the sunroof, i cant sit up straight (i'm 6'4). So needless to say, never driven one (LOL).
Those ones posted look killer tho.

man are you serious? Im 6'3 and my old 05 was MUCH roomier (esp width wise) than my new 87.......
I think the 5th gen v8 is an amazing vehicle and had i not rolled and totalled mine i would still be having a hell of a time with it. It makes offroading easy with its awd, it just needs some lower gears, the capability for real tires (which is REALLY hard to accoomplish unless you sas) and lockers..... but what doesnt.
Def sick trucks.

Seriously, i have short legs / longer upper body, and my head hits the roof. doesn't happen on any other 4runners. Weird eh?
