Ok, so I've had my Marlin Crawler Lefty tcase sitting in my garage for 3 months.... Maybe longer! I really need to get this thing put in as my speedo is not registering and my shift points are off a little. My wife just lost one of her jobs and we have a 6 month old so I cannot afford to pay a shop to put it in. Sorry for the sob story. But now, the wifey just see's a $2400 box sitting in the garage. She said we should sell it...:eek: She said its just sitting there, might as well. So Im asking for some help... Please!!! Im confident I can put it in myself, the problem is that the twin sticks need to be modded a little bit so they pop out in the right spot and I dont have welding capabilities.
SO this is the situation I'm in. Im asking for some help putting it in. I cant offer much other than pizza and beer. If anyone can help, please let me know!!! Thanks.
Im in Emeryville, Ca. I will drive anywhere in the Bay Area including Sacramento.

I'd def try it out myself.
BUT...
If your family (i.e.-wife) has needs, then the 4x4 gear is not a substitute. Your take home pay just got cut by her losing her job. You need to be thinking LONG term, not short.
Not to get on a education rant as I'm sure you do not need it & I do not know your financial stability. Just trying to be honest. I LOVE my truck, but family and needs come first.
IF you do install the Lefty, you'll be sure to lose money if you have to take it off and then sell it...
Just my honest :2cents:

I agree!!! My family always comes first. Money is ok, and its not life or death. We were in the garage and she saw it... was like, "that things been sitting forever, we should just sell it". She lost one of her part time jobs.... I just cant justify taking the truck in to have this done at 600-800$. Not like we cant eat, but for me to dish out money like that would not be smart. So if I can find a friend to help, it would be a win win....

I figured that as he was sniveling last time I saw him..:)

You should be able to install it yourself with some help from someone with a welder to modify the shifters. Hell post up a wrenchfest and have a little party with some buddies and get the job done.
Let this be a lesson to hide your truck parts better from your wife :D

I may be able to help out. What says the TTARD leader and the Crazy ATV Trail Night Run Guy.
