I found some 2D software online for free from original designers. In a nutshell it's from the designers that make solidworks. It's relatively complete and can export to any software package. It's for basic design in 2D for those that don't have Autocad.

anyone try this software yet? i would like to get your opinions on it. I haven't had time to even open it up and try it yet.
But i'm going to check it out when I need some tabs for the buggy soon.

It seems like a nice product and isn't to hard to use, definately not bad for free. I still use a copy of Autocad I got from a contract a few years ago so I'm a tad spoiled with that.

I have a friend that bought a copy of TurboCad from Best Buy dirt cheap and I thought it would be a joke but it turns out that it is a pretty nice product for under $100, plus it's 3D with a nice rendering engine.
