Can anyone tell me of a good place to go to get some sliders welded on? I know how to weld myself, but my welder isn't that heavy duty....Marshall, you think yours could handle the job? Let me know...
Chris.

I'm pretty sure we could do it. I need to do a little more practicing before then, but I don't see any problems with it. I might be a few weeks, if that's okay. Let me know.

Marhsall,
I'm actually picking them up today from Will. I'm not going to be able to do it this weekend cause I gotta work all weekend, so I may just take them out to my dads shop and have one of the guys out there weld them on for me. I know how to weld, but don't trust my skills just yet on something like that. I dont want to have that shit dragging down the road when a weld breaks. Anyways, what are you up to Friday night? I'm not too sure what's goin on but let me know if your gonna be doin anything...maybe get some beers somewhere...talk to ya later man,
Chris.

Yeah, give me a hollar. I have heard that the frame is pretty thin, so just let those guys know that. I'm sure they can lay a much nicer bead that I can right now. I don't really have any plans, probably saving up some energy to weld in my spring hangers on Saturday morning and a ton of cheering for the Braves and Dawgs during the afternoon!

Let me know if I can help...I'll be down. Make sure that you make frame supports.

You talking about the triangle pieces that are to be :welder: on top and bottom of the support bars? Not sure if he's still got them, I'm picking them up tonight so I guess I can always make some at the shop if they aren't included. Any other suggestions? Let me know. Has anyone made a plate that welds onto the end of the support bar instead of welding the pipe straight to the frame? I guess I can always find some installation instructions somewhere. If you wanna help Kyle I'll give you a call and let you know when I'm gonna do it. I'm probably gonna :saw: and inch off the ends so they don't hang out like mad, but I"ll see once I get them. Talk to ya later.
Chris.

I'm talking about plating the frame where they meet because with enough force they will rip the frame open.

I need to have that done, cut em off, plate the points where they attach, and have some gussets made cuz they flex a little. Id really appreciate any welding once i come up with :2cents: to pay for the material.

I think the easiest and one of the best ways to do it is to use angle iron at the ends of your legs to the frame. Just cut some 3 inch long sections of 2inch angle iron and have that on the side and the bottom of the frame. That's how mine are and I've used the hell out of them with no problems. Just my worthless .02....
