I'm trying to get a feel about getting some help to install a couple major components. I'm figuring i will receive my winch b/f the third weekend 9/22 on october; i am also figuring i will receive my synthetic cable too. I don't think i'm going to far out asumming these items will arrive soon :D . So can anyone help me install my winch and the spacers for my 882's? I just do not have the tools to do any of the work. Pizzia and beer is on me :D .

You will need a spring compressor for the spacers, won't you? I don't have one. The winch should be a pretty easy install. I would assume, but you never know!

Are you putting in a spacer or the trim packers? Those trim packers are alot cheaper. $7 each. You will need a spring compressor, though and alignment. I don't know anything about wiring up a winch.

i'm assuming that you need a spring compressor, i don't have one b/c i've never attempted to take apart a strut. the bumper is put on by 10 bolts, all that will need to do is take it off and put the winch in( 4 bolts). I don't know much about wiring at all, but i would think it is just two cable that go to the battery.

yeah i got the trim packs sitting in my kitchen. With all the problems i've had with alignments i'm done w/ them untill i get new wheels and tire. I could stand getting another one for my truck right now. Wiring a winch, hmm i think its just a couple of wires to the battery though i can't be for sure.

I'd be down for helping. I think that I've got a spring compressing kit somewhere around here, not sure why, but I think I've seen one. I'll check with my pops, or go to his shop and look, but I'm down for whatever I can help with.

ive put 882s on my truck and have a brand new pair of compressors, plus airtools. cranking on that compressor without air is a pain in the :xmoon: If yall want to have a wenchathon at my place we can, but the only weekend i have off this month is the 22,23. O and i dont know how u wanna wire your winch but i straight wired mine to the battery for the most power.

Do you mind if i imposse on you for Oct. 22, 23? It was like having a second birthday today, i received every part for the install today in the mail, winch :D :D , synthetic winch line, fairled, and trim packs. I will pick a red top b/f the install also.

I am wiring GOD and I can wire anything to do anything on a vehicle. Ive installed probably around 50 systems now and Im always getting calls for people to install systems and other misc shit on their cars and trucks. Ive never done the other things listed but I can still make my self usefull. Id be interested as long as its on a weekend.

Well if you got the stuff in already I can help this weekend. We could Pop the winch in on Sunday or something - I see all the other offers to assist here so don't know if you would want to wait. If anyone thinks they can make it this weekend, I;ll gladly offer up my place. We're camping next weekend and the Tellico event is the following weekend so I will be unavailable except this weekend...
