Just wanted to post something on this purdy new site. Pedersen Toyota, Ft. Collins, checked my VIN over the phone, determined that I was eligible for the ball joint recall on my 2003 TRD, and arranged to R&R them as per the recall notice. They were very easy-going and helpful about it. I urge everyone w/ a (nearly) stock tacoma to call their Toy dealer, if only because it's nice to get something free out of them once during the life of your truck.

I remember it being on the 01 to 04 Tacomas. Which reminds me, I need to have mine checked....

Yeah free is nice, but there's always a catch....like the dealership breaking one of my ventvisors...

yeah but the up side is that's one more thing they have to fix free so now you have one more new part that you otherwise would of had to pay for

Its a huge recall. Covers everything from Tacos to 4Runner to Sequoias and Tundras. Mostly from 01 to 04. There's a new one for the older trucks and 4Runners (95 4Runners and older and pre tacoma trucks), it involves replacing the relay rod and due to the state of the suspension a lof tie rod ends are being replaced too.
