Are there special requirements for the restaurant, theres all sorts of places here (aurora )
mrdoug

Must serve beer
Other nice-to-have's:
seating for 10-15 people together
quiet enough we can hear eachother
tolerate a bit of noise from our group
buffalo wild wings works out ok, except they don't take reservations, so we end up having to hunt/wait for seats/tables for our group.
Round Robin ended up working out ok after most of the people left, but it was a little loud to start and we were around families so we couldn't be quite as offensive as we usually are.
Old Chicago in the springs worked out GREAT.

Woody's pizza in Golden works great. Full bar, and all you can eat pizza(very good)/beer cheese soup/salad for $10 I think. Has 2 sections to the restaurant, one for the bar area and one more suited for families. Usually very busy on Friday's, but I'm 90% sure you can make a reservation.

I will second the Golden area! Woody's is a good place, Hops Brewery is also good, and they have a back room, might still be loud on a Friday night though. One other place is Blue Canyon bar and grill, that place is pretty cool downstairs and they have a full sized jeep down there with flexed out suspension! I vote that Blue Canyon would be the best place if Golden area is chosen. I personally know the bartender there and could set up the reservation. Here are pics of their remodel.

I diddn't see minerdude1's post, Blue Canyon sounds better, I have never been there.
Does blue canyon let under 21rs in?
minerdude1

Yes they do. After 9pm they card and put either wristbands or stamps on hands of 21+
Looks like we have a winner.

I figured I would let you guys know that everything is "set up" at the bar. I talked to the bartender and he said it won't be a problem and that an official reservation wasn't needed. I have a meeting I have to go to from like 7-8:30ish, but will be headed that way after that. Just want to make sure people will still be around when I get there.
Bump.
You can always give me a call to be sure.

Yeah, but Doug can sleep on the way home.
Unless he decides to take junior.

11-18-2011, 09:30 AM
yeah, looks like I'm driving myself. So 1) I won't be able to take full advantage of the "set-up" bar and 2) I have to be careful not to stay out too late or I'll fall asleep on the way home

Add me to the list, my plans just changed and I can go now.
I am going to Denver early to hit some 'yards. I'll volunteer DD and can give Doug or anyone else in Loveland or FC a ride if you want to tag along to the JY. Not sure what I'll do from the time between parts searching and the M&G but I'm open to suggestions.
