Hey guys i have stock 1999 tacoma rims i beleive 15x7 or 16x7, not really sure because the rims got powdercoated before i got the truck. Would a set of 33x11.5 be a problem? i know nothing about what tires go on what rims.
if they're 16 X 7... go with the 255/85/16 tires...
be ready to do some fitment work...
they can work awrite on the street...
but off road use you will likely need to cut and hammer
to make a little room in the wheel wells
or add a 1" body lift
reason being... metrics are generally truer
to the full 33"... some being as much as 33.3"
Haha yah im really just not exactly sure what the metrics mean. and im planning on puttin on an OME or a spacer lift before the tires so ill have some room.
yah i mean thats my thought too but cost is always an issue. and it seems to me that the OME only lifts because you put spacers on top of those coils anyhow. is that right?
no. there are no spacers of any kind involved when you use ome coils. there taller and have a higher load capacity than stock so they lift without needing a spacer.
hmmm are you positive, when i was lookin at toytecs OME lift it said uses top plate spacers for the 881 coils and said with the 883 they dont need them for a 3 inch lift. But if it doesnt have spacers tahts great. ANd also my springs are saggin bad, inverted prettymuch, would an AAL even rais it as much as it should and do you know if it would it affect flex?
