I don't know how far I'm going to get asking for this, but I'm in the market for a backup CV joint. Everything's working just fine right now but I don't want to take a chance of really needing one later. Better to start looking now. I have the ADD so manual hub CVs won't work.

psh save your pennies for a D44 and then just have spare shafts instead lol. take a look at your CV angles......... if not too much of the rubber boot fins are touching eachother odds are that you should be ok....... if youre doing alot of wheeling though in 4lo with those 35's its going to put alot more strain on them. but if thats the case you can keep throwing money at your CV's or like i said just save up for the SAS

Hey punk, I know this is a new forum but don't talk to me like I'm a noobie or you don't know me,,, LOL :)
I'm saving up for the SAS but with the wheeling I'm doing, I'll probably break the CVs before I have the money for the axle. Especially being fully locked in front. And, in case you don't remember, my current CV angles are really steep. I've got the axle in the garage but have to wait till some of the bills are gone before dumping money in it. This should be about March of next year and will give me about $1000 a month for the SAS. I'm looking at it like this,,, better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.
On the other hand I'm pushing for a special duty assignment overseas which will leave in February. If I get the assignment, I won't be doing the SAS anytime in the near future. I want it, but don't have the time or money to get it done before I leave. Heck, I may even have to sell my baby with this assignment because IF they allow me to ship a vehicle, they'll only allow me to have one in this country. Having a family and a new 2006 car, LilRed will have to be the one to stay.

scrounge on the national boards. the ADD shafts are going to be hard to come by but i think TRD parts 4 u sells them for not too much money . i dunno cause my fear of breaking shafts with close to 1000 miles actually on them is pretty slim lol i love manual hubs
