Whats the easiest way? Drop the diff? Just looking at it seems like you couldn't just pull the pan straight down because of the oil pick up. Other trucks I've had you have to pull the motor.
The easy trick is to unbolt the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint, then pop the inner CV from the diff and move them out of the way. Then you can remove the diff. Don't forget to disconnect the breather line on the top of the diff. You'll also need a 14mm? allen socket to remove the bolt from the rear diff mount.
