Alright, this is definitely a newbie question. I've been looking for some 75w-90 for my trans and transfer case. I've looked at all the usual suspects (NAPA, AutoZone, CarQuest...) and all I've been able to find is 75w-90 with a Limited Slip Additive. I've asked them to search their oil catalogs for regular 75-90 and they can't find it. Common sense tells me that the LSA would be a bad thing for my trans and case but is it?
Thanks and sorry for the dumb question.
im running redline mt-90 , its gl-4 75w-90 synthetic gear oil. but we have completely diff trucks , i have a 85 4runner with a w56a 5speed trans and im also running the mt-90 in my gear driven transfer case
Alright, sounds good. I knew about redline and I think amsoil has some stuff. Thanks for everything guys. Still wonder why the hell everything has the limited slip crap.
Here too. Hypoid only. Some with the additive. No GL4 anywhere.
