On the subject of sliders with kickouts, how far should the kickout extend from the frame, or in relation to the tires? I'm particularly interested in 1st gens (for the purpose of using the frame as a reference point). I understand that there is going to be personal preference and "depends on what do you do with your truck" involved. Just looking for opinions.

whatever you build...don't get sued.
(see other slider thread...)

in general...an inch or two out past the rubber for the kick.

Are you looking to build or buy?

If building I would listen to what Hytenor says....If buying..get in touch with Dwreck here on the Nevada chapter. He built a set of bolt on's for me that are EXTREMELY stout and solid. His company is called Famous Fabrication
Here is a link.

There are a lot of companys that build sliders. I like his because they sit a little further out than a lot of the others Hope that helps!!!
