Bogger issues on a 88 4runner

I bought a 88 SAS 4runner on 16/35-15 Boggers

Guy set it up for mud bog.

I want it set up for trail.

The wheels don't have quite the right amount of backspacing. Rubs on one side in the rear on the frame. Rubs on turns in the front at 3/4 turn.

Tires are stiff for as light of a truck as it is.

But on the other hand, there boggers, they climb, there aggressive, alot of people would kill for them in ohio.

Will post pictures later, looking for insight.

To me
The options are.
1. Sell wheels and Tires and get skinner 35"
2. Buy New Wheels with more backspacing.
3. Runnem.

1. down fall is the almight price tag.
2. down fall is it worth it just for these tires for the trail on this weight of a truck
3. down fall is all the rubbing, stiff sidewall, etc. I have them set at 7 psi and they still look street pressure. they flex better but still stiff.

I wouldn't want my tires rubbing the frame anywhere. I couldn't see where it was rubbing in your pictures, so I can't say how you should fix it. I do know that steelies are cheap.
