have you bought a GPS unit yet, yourself?
I am looking for one as well
Yup
This is a great unit for the price-
Nav by Voice ( Turn left .....)
Color 3.5" Touch Screen
Comes complete with all mounting power accessories - nice window mount
power cables etc......Li-ion rechargeable
Map in 2d or 3d

This unit is basically designed for on road use - BAsically the features you see in the built in GPS NAvigation systems in other automobiles
So its not designed for hiking, trail use etc.....

You will need to purchase a SD memory card to load the road maps by state-
TX 3 region is about ~140-180 MB (I also recommend an external card reader- much quicker to load maps onto the SD card)

Basically you can store it in your glove compartment and whip it out when you need to find an address or get directions to a location.
