Aight my tacos brake pads where fried on the passenger side, all the way to the metal. so today i get some pads and start taking it apart. well i found out one of my pistons was frozen up(figured thats y it ate my pad so fast). I took the caliper off and took it apart to get it freed up. i finally got it back together and back on the truck. started bleeding the brakes like ive done a million times and get a good pedal,BUT after a couple seconds i hit the pedal and it goes to the floor. so i figured i have a leak somewhere, BUT nope nothing coming out anywhere. theres no air in the lines and ive bleed the hell out of them, which i usually dont have any problems bleeding my brakes. i know i know... i should just :saw: the crap of and put a solid axle under, trust me im workin on it. anyone got any clues whats going on??

Well I have brake problems all the time i guess its my curse. But i replaced wheel cylinders recently that helped. And all new pads. New master cylinder (rebuilt) and i just keep bleeding it. Its sorta working you could say. Usualy my brakes suck tho.

Sounds like an 'internal' leak at the Master Cylinder ... pretty easy fix ...

Now your talking SAS that truck its begging you to do it!!

The same thing happened to my old 98. Piston locked and chewed the rotor. I just got both new calipers and rotors but I had a good pedal after the change, never lost pressure but it was a pain to bleed. I remember that.

Did you do anything with the master cylinder other than remove the cap and fill it up? I'm guessing its there somewhere somehow.

Anyway good luck with it and let us know what you found.

Sound like the MC to me.. Also might want to upgrade if you can to a larger MC. Get with Brian from Front Range and he can tell you how he swapped in a large GM MC.
