Anyone know of any other idiot-like movements out there to further restrict or close our privileges to use PUBLIC land?

Oh yeah - look at the land use folder on the national forum - Mike has posted a bunch of stuff - specifically USFS in CA....

It's amazing really. Unfortunately, the creation and popularity of ATV's, dirt bikes, 4x4s, etc. has brought offroad vehicles that require responsibility into the hands of a whole 'nother breed of retards.

Anyway, the "activists" AKA "greenies" AKA "hippies" all seem to have an attitude of being superior to others. If you ever meet one, you notice. It's apparent in everything they say. They feel that because they are hiking, they have more rights to a trail. They're wrong... I have passed hikers that stop, turn around and glare/scoff at anything with a motor.....on a popular USFS trail, designated for all forms of ORV use. Hmm....I didn't see a hiker on that sign... I did see a Jeep, ATV, and dirt bike, however.

keep voting for winners like bush and other republicans. that sell of our public lands to big corps. to put in new mines, new developes and other bullshit. its all about who can get rich of what the cheapest. this is going on in moab and all over the west.

Easy there ajax - the alternative is the tree-hugger greenies, who don't want ANYONE to "spoil" their outdoor areas.

Heck, 99% of the trails in Colorado exist solely due to mining activity.

The problem is a lot of the trails are being closed down due to the amount of trash and destruction caused my mindless Rednecks trashing the trails and area around the trails. That is the main reason trails get shut down we should be not only focusing our attention to land agencies (i.e. NFS and BLM) but to the four wheeling community to improve how they treat the trail systems.
