Would my Son's 2006 4 dr TRD Taco have any problem running a 17x8, 0 offset, 4.5" backspaced wheel? I think he's just looking at running 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2s. However, with that wheel what can he run without too much modification. He's running the Icon Stage 2 with front coil overs set almost as delivered which I believe is about 2.5-3" of lift.
255/80 R17s should fit with no rubbing/trimming. 275/75 R17s and 285/75 R17s should also fit with minor plastic trimming. If your son off-road at all, he may have to beat down the pinch weld a bit and chop the cab mount for the tires not to rub.
Thanks, they are coming off an FJ Cruiser and I'm not familiar with what does and does not fit the Tacoma
