Got a price range - any other mods? While it is a long shot to find that - this colorado crew I put out feelers 2 months ago when I was looking to buy a SAS rig - they totally stepped up to the plate. Man I had links and phone numbers pouring in for 3 weeks!

Dude... I KNOW this... my point being that weather it's a rig or a part often the crew is on the lookout for their peeps! Sheesh I'm not that dumb! (Ok well maybe when it comes to CB isolators...)speaking of which Andy broke my CB - Ass Hat!

Get your facts straight...
I was ATTEMPTING to tighten your loose ANTENNA, and the cheap Piece of crap broke (probably due to a shotty installation in the FIRST place...wonder who installed it...)....so technically, your CB is just fine....isn't it?
Besides, your ground plane was all jacked anyways...you need a mag-mount. I am just forcing you to make it correct. Relocate your antenna to your roof, with a mag mount. And No ghetto - exposed wiring running inside the cab this time....

what size tires are you running? honestly........... the change will be less than noticable. the change from 4.10 to 4.56 is barely noticable as well. if youre running 31's or 32's i would almost save my money. that or regear up to a 4.56 setup so that you actually see some gains.

x2 4.30 arent going to make shit for difference. Not crashing your party but you'd be best to cut the losses before you spent more money on gears that wont make any difference. But it kinda depends on tire size you choose.
If you have 30 or 31's and plan on staying that way 4.30's will be fine. But its really pointless b/t those and 4.10's.
32s or 33's you'll definately want 4.56 and maybe 4.88's and definately 4.88's for 35's.

I just got 235x75x15 for free to replace some worn out 31x11.50x15 . Eventually (this spring) I'll get another set of rims + 33x10.50x15's for wheeling.
I checked out one of those ratio calculators on the web. 4.30 and 33's is slightly taller but close enough to the same ratio as 4.10 with 31's.
It would be better to get lower gearing via the transfer or transmission but then that costs big bucks.

I have a 2.7 manual with 33x10.50's and 4.56, i dont think 4.30s will cut it. :2cents:

those calcs you find on the web are nice but they dont really help you in the long run. if you are going to run 33's then get the 4.56's. with elevation and such you are going to notice the power loss with the 4.30's. 4.88's are a little tall for running 33's unless all you are doing is crawling.

With the 30" tires and a reg cab 3.4 v6 with 4.10 axle ratio there is good acceleration.

true but why spend the money to do something 2 times over if you are going to get bigger tires in a few months anyways? its up to you for what you want to do and yeah. and as i re read the post that you put up before you are looking at the wrong end of the spectrum. if you want to be able to crawl you need a better ratio. 4.88's with 33's is an awesome crawler.

Hum, I know it may be disappointing to have to change your plans, but I had 30's w/ 3.91s then went to 31's. Im now running 33x10.50's and was planning to go with 4.30's. After some great advice I decided on 4.56 and I am so glad I did. 4.56 still requires the occasional downshift going uphill but is great off-road. I dont think I would be unhappy if I had even gone 4.88, but 4.56 is definately the minimum. And you'll be glad you made the right choice as you will hate to imagine having gone with 4.30's and had to pay install again when you decided they werent enough. This is an expensive mod, do it once.

You still didnt tell us which engine you have, 2.7 or 3.4? I say 2.7 go 4.88 (since you're in mountain country) if 3.4 4.56 will be fine.

I think you'll be perfectly happy with 4.56 and 33x1050s
you 6 will handle the 4.30's better than my 4 cyl would. But to go from 4.10 to 4.30 you really wont feel much difference if any. Id highly rcommend 4.56. :2cents: but do what makes ya happy, good luck.
