before i order my sky kit

i noticed if i put on the chevy springs i will have to take off my hitch

i dont really care about that because i never tow anything but it is my only rear tow point. If I take it off can I use the bumper hitch mount with something as a tow point?

Your stock bumper is made of tin. I wouldn't try and tow anything or trust it to be pulled out. pulling someone else out. I'm sure you can have a welding shop take your old reciever hitch and make you work with the Chevy swap.

Well I ordered the sky kit today. I will figure out what to do for the hitch after I get the springs installed.

Do you have springs yet? Drew almost all the junk yards here in Jax and there was only that said they had them. We went and got them today. So he should have them on sometime next week.
Did you get the flip kit and shock hoop?

he has a hitch too right? I'd like to know what he did with his.

In the end I would like to get Marlin's rear bumper for my truck...maybe after tax returns :rolleyes: That would give me like 5 more inches of clearance back there.

maybe if all else fails I could slot my bed like they do for the bumper and get some thick ass steel plate and just make it stick out far enough to get a d ring into for a temp solution until I get a bumper or figure out what to permanetly do. I figure I couls sell my bumper and hitch and put the money towards a marlin.

Marlin has a 8 week waiting list for bumpers, or atleast that's what they told Drew. Drew is going to take the hitch off and buy a tube bumper or see if he can find someone to fab one like Marlin's.

yeah, the marlin rear bumper was my first choice too but with the long waiting peroid i think that i'm just going to go with the all pro one. i called them and they have them in stock and will ship in 5-8days they said. the big rocksoffroad rear is ok, pretty much just like the all pro one but it's more. $325 plus shipping. so once again-all pro looks like the way to go.
