I found an article on the National website about changing your Headlight bulbs....actually it was a link to this site ...

So I bought some Sylvania Silverstar 9003 ST/2 bulbs ($36).
Took me literally 2 minutes to install each bulb. I couldn't believe it. They both light up nice but I cant tell how bright until I try 'em out tonight.
Not that anyone really cares ...but maybe another noob like me will join and read this post ... :p

Hey Greg... I have posted hours worth of talk about lighting and bulbs on TTORA...if you get bored have a read thru some of that stuff by using the search feature on the main board.

read thru this site about how to really evaluate lighting.
any way I just helped David(Colorado125) install an upgraded head light harness on his Jeep...however cleaning the connectors before we started gained as much efficiency as the wire harness netted! I think replacing or upgrading old wiring is a better way to gain lighting performance than spending extra money on bulbs that commonly have a shorter life span...
as long as you are happy with the silver stars stick with them...but bang for the buck is not there!

The silverstars are awesome headlight bulbs. It's like having your teeth whitened...well, maybe not quite the same...but that's the idea.

Still thinking about upgrading the taco one if the wiring is as small as you say it is layton.
But i also like putting less strain on the headlight switch by drawing power straight from the battery and separate fused relays instead of putting all that power through the switch.

uh our headlights are on a relay..... 10A fused for each side..... you could up the wiring and put in 15A fuses and the relay will still handle it since its rated at 30A
