My girlfriend,Terra and I were just talking about this over coffee this morning.
I just received an email from BFGoodrich telling me that they would gladly be shipping some promotional stickers to me for my truck free of charge.
I remember in high school we had a project/homework assignment that actually pertained to this: Write a letter to a company, showing your appreciation ...or not...of their product/services and see what their response is....
The following is what transpired.
My brother had written a letter to a certain company regarding the "excess" wear on his boots (about $250) had on them. My brother wore these boots for like 6 years and beat the hell out of them ....never the less he writes a letter ....just to see what would happen...
3 days later ...brand new boots on his doorstep. Kinda funny.
Terra tells me a story this morning about a woman she used to work with who had purchased a bag of chips from a dispenser on a road trip. She liked the chips so much (not available in her state) that she wrote the company a letter ......about two weeks later ....three cases of dispenser sized chip bags ....in every variety appear on her door step.
I don't know why I wrote BFG a quick email ....but I did ....just to see if they would respond ....they did ....stickers should be here today or tomorrow.
Lame...yes.....free....yup.
Anyone have a similair story to share?
