Great job! I love how you added tons of support though the coresupport. Exactly what I had in mind! That bumper is going to be very stout!

wow i really dig that bumper. are you going to put a stinger hoop on there as well or just leave well enought alone?

Not realy sure what I want to do there if anything... I've thought about possibly following the lines of the grill for an upper hoop but just not sure the add weight is worth anything.

it would be nice to have a modest looking hoop that follows the lines of the grille. nothing crazy, just simple. if it was me of course.

for looks? or some kind of use?

are you planning for a winch? i really like the design of that bumper and might have to "borrow" it for my own truck. looks great!

Copy away that's the greatest completement one can get. Thats how I design this one I took details from different bumpers I liked and did my own twist. Yes it is designed for a winch - more specificly a warn M8000.
The mounts are not in yet but they will be made of tube and run from the top of the bottom hoop and back to the brace that runs behind it. They will be drilled and sleved for 3/8" bolts.

So, let's say I just drive on up and get his twin brother hooked onto my truck? I really like it. I may have to look into making my own bumper now. I can't find anything OTS I like. Looks great, keep us posted on the final cut. :welder:

wow. very nice work. that removes doubts about being winch worthy for sure. i second the uper hoop idea. somethin to keep the trail off the fendes a little when you get tight.

just wondering... i was thinking about sending CBI Fab those pics and asking about them making one like it for me, but i saw where you weld in extra bracing and think that may not work... is there anyway that would still suppport a winch without it? don't most bumpers just mount to the front frame rails anyways?

I'm glad you added more pictures. I looked at this a few days ago and was going to ask where those tubes went coming off the frame but didn't get around to it.

Looks great!

Not sure how others are doing it. I didn't feel that just bottom mounting was enough and I don't concider the body mounts worthy in use for bumper mounting so that's why I did what I did.

If your close to CBI, have him sleve the inside of the frame with tube, and mount to that. You can also mount it to the towhook bolts, the front bolt, and then also have it go to the bodymount holes too. That should be pretty strong. Not nearly as strong as Tbobs' or sleveing the frame...

That is an incredibly sweet bumper!! I really dig the added structural supports you tied into the frame.
