that will take you to a thread with some good info. wrooster posted some good pics with excelent discriptions.
the product linked in your post is a good idea if you tranport more than one bike often or if you realy want the convenience and don't mind paying for it. if i did not have a toy box i would definatly have something like that for myself since i do transport 2 to 4 bikes often.
if you just got on bike. do the corner to corner thing like everyone else or center it in the bed and leave the back tire on the tailgate.
hope this helps

p.s. you might get flamed for posting in the fab folder, this is closer to off topic or maybe lets talk about wheelin.

I just mounted a piece of angle iron to some L-brackets a couple inches from the front of the bed. I put fork down mounts on the top for my mountain/road bikes and it keeps the dirt bike tires from bending the front of the box. Works great and is cheap and easy. Here's a pic. The third bike is offset back to keep the handlebars from hitting. We used a milk crate as a spacer. :) (Wow, was my truck ever nice before I started wheeling it. Check out that shine and nerf bars.)

I'm gonna have a problem with mine. I'm getting a wr 250 in a couple of weeks and I'm gonna have to try and fit it into my dcab bed, demello bedbar and all!....... should be fine with the tailgate down though.

Score one for team green. I sold my KDX and Ducati and T100 for my tacoma. I remember i bought the dirt bike so i wouldn't wheel my truck as much. It worked for the most part.

I bought mine so I wouldn't wreck my truck anymore as well but when my buddys quit riding I went back to wheeling. Now my truck is a dented, scratched up mess. I sold my bike in the fall but would like to get another in the spring if I can convince a couple friends to ride more often. ......Steve

A carpenter friend of mine whipped up a wheel chock setup for 2 bikes for me in about 5 minutes-just a piece of heavy ply, we actually used the board for concrete preforms with the plast laminates(great for putting stickers on)
and screwed some 2x4's for the wheel chocks onto it, i drive fast over whoops and all that getting out to the campground and havent had the bike shift.
another great tip is to use soft straps and to cut the hooks off and use carabiners, that way they cannot come off the handlebars or the tie-down eye on the bed...
I'm thinking about trying to make something that is a bed bar to help control flex of the bed, light mount for a rear light, cb ant. mount, and wheel chocks all in one but well i think about alot of stuff and here i am doing skwat...
