Peekay331 started this thread the other day in the "Dealers, Shops & Catalogs" category on delphi. Everyone seemed to think it was a great discussion so lets start another. Not sure if this is the place it needs to stay but wasn`t sure where else to start it back up.

Chris and Barb at TRDparts4u.com - best customer service
Summit Racing - decent prices, fast, free shipping, good service
All Pro

In the Dallas/Ft. Worth area:

1. Driveshaft King (near downtown Dallas) - excellent driveshaft work at decent prices, although they're so overworked they may take awhile
2. Performance Transmission (in Kennedale) - quality work on tranny rebuilds (including heavy duty and high performance parts) at reasonable rates, fast turn-around, too
3. 4WPW off I-35E - is it me, or has this local 4WPW done its best to improve customer service in the past year?

Randy from AOR (Advanced Offroad Research) The guy knows everything about Toyotas'!

I second the words on Randy from AOR, very knowledgable and helpful with my shock questions and referred me to others when he did not have what I needed.

Barbara and Chris King at TRDparts 4U.com ( I know who the real boss is, and listed her first! :D )

They have always done me great! Even when I am just shopping prices

RockLogic also has a vote from me. Great service and great craftsmanship

I have indirectly dealt with All Pro with acceptable results

Outback off road (in San Antonio, Texas) Carl, the owner has always helped TTORA members out with price and advice.

Gadget and (I believe) Carl at URD, great knowledge and service

on the opposite of the coin, I have been disappointed a couple of times with 4wheel drive wholesale on both price, knowledge and service, yet I continue to keep trying them

I am sure I am leaving off some of my favorite vendors, but I just can't think right now.

Summittracing= bought many parts, allways great service
Jegs=great service in all catagories
Not the greatest vendor
Wheelers=Gary talks like a true salesman(he's your best friend,he makes the products sound great even if the are not) Promised that the coilovers that I was buying would out last the truck.Well 20,000 miles of 99% street driving and 1% light wheeling and the things shit the bed. When I contacted him about the problem he quickly told me that it's not his problem and told me to contact the makers of the coilover.

Demello--- definately. It didn't take me long to realize I was dealing with regular guys who just happen to make an excellent product and will work with you on ANYTHING.
Wheelers---awesome customer service. I ordered the wrong wheels and they called me on my cell phone within 5 minutes of placing my order to verify that I knew what I was buying. They asked me what I was planning on running and on what truck and got me set straight. I couldn't ask for more. Jason even asked for pics of my truck when I was done.
PORC ---Alright I guess .... Only problem I had was that I ordered a winch and lights at the same time but got them 4 days apart ...??? Alex wrote me back just to tell me they were on the way but didn't explain the delay. Seems more of a Jeep or SAS oriented place to me honestly.

Flip side;
ORW ---BAD NEWS. Sold me a coilover set for $400 but charged $500 just for labor to put them on and then they kept my adjusting wrench! I came back for a body lift a few months later and they had me go through all the trouble of setting up an appointment and leaving my truck there, then called me back after I had just left to tell me they couldn't do a BL on top of a suspension lift because it was "A liability issue". When I pointed out that THEY were the ones who put the first lift on and should have known, they just shrugged their shoulders and didn't know what to say. ORW sucks some serious ass.

I've had great service from All-Pro. They price matched some Bilstein 5125's (I wanted to get the shocks from them since I was mating it to a used kit and just wanted that extra bit of confidence they would fit) and shaved the price on the new shorter top plates. Answered every question in a timely manner. I spoke with Sarah I believe.

I also just bought some OME greasable shackles from ToyTec and Doug was very helpful and responsive. He also tossed in a BPV relo bracket and hardware for FREE. Couldn't ask for better service and the price of the shackles was WELL below what I was finding them from other places.

I was a bit wary venturing into modifying my truck because I'm just learning the ropes and didn't want to stub my toe causing the wife to put a stop to all this (if I let her :D ).

I Highly recomend All Phase Off Road (http://www.allphaseoffroad.com/) in Longmont for any fab work. just got an offroad air from jason this week in preparation for the upcoming run. i decided on the 20 lb with the hiflomax regulator and the rockguard handle that protects the regulator and qd while doubling as a comfy carry handle.also included is a 20 foot coil hose with an air chuck. i had stopped by 4wheel parts a couple weeks ago and the had a powertank 10 lb basic kit for 420 or something plus tax. the 20 lber with all the upgrades and a beefy mounting rack was about 370 out the door.

i also got my donahoe/deaver suspension from jason about six months ago and it rocks. and some sliders of cours and i love them.

thanks jason for puting out good products for us.

CBI Offroad - Steve has been awesome to work with. His pricing is incredible, especially since he'll make literally anything you want. One-off stuff for discount pricing is the best.

Demello Offroad - Jason was extremely helpful in talking with me about suspension and spring recommendations for the type of rig that I wanted. Great prices on my whole setup.

Firestone of Crestwood, Missouri - I called to price the tires that I wanted. I was initially disappointed at first. After telling Sergio that I needed 5 tires, he shot me a great price on all 5 wheels mounted, with lifetime balance, lifetime rotation, AND road hazard. He even knocked $50 off of a lifetime alignment as well. In 3 weeks, I've already had it aligned twice due to adding weight and changing the suspension a bit. No questions asked.

Wheeler's Offroad - Shot me a killer deal on a set of wheels, centercaps, and lugs. Great people to work with and just talk to in general. Excellent prices and service.

I emailed Barb about instructions for a locker I bought from them over a year ago. within 15 minutes Chris replies with contact info on ARB and explains to me what the basic install is of the locker and more importantly to me where the switches wire up to and such.

Within 20 minutes total I had instructions emailed to me from ARB with a full understanding of what I need to do from here.

(If this is in the wrong folder, fine! sue me, I couldn't figure out anywhere else to add it)

Demello-Offroad:

So far I have purchased two products from Jason for 05 Double Cab.
The 1st was Bolt-on Sliders, I was trying to arrange a way to pick them up
when I went down to So Cal at the same time Jason was going to in vegas for the SEMA show. He offered to deliver them to my house. But the day he was coming to town was the day I was leaving town. I think that is very good customer service.

The next product I bought I was the 05 bed bar. It was shipped in time to be under the Xmas tree at my mom's house.

Toy-Tec lifts.

I'm happy with mine, and Doug recommended some Old Man Emu Long Travels for the back that I'm glad I bought. Doug hooked me up on a few things after I placed my order that he didn't have to.

Top notch service.

Wanna hear another interesting story about SUPERB customer service?

I slid off and did $5200 in damage to my truck like two weeks ago. I brought it to www.profileautobody.com

I received a voice mail message almost every single morning for like a week and a half to update me on the progress of my vehicle. I never felt like it was too much nor did I ever need to call and ask questions ....everything was handled BEFORE I needed it.

A++ Service. I would say one of if not the best i've ever recieved. No bullshit, and I don't know or work with anyone from there ...this is straight up first time customer stuff.

If you live in Colorado and wreck your shit ...and don't use 'em ....you're definitely missing out.

Just wanted to say thanks for his follow up service. I bought some new bushing and sleeves for my camburg control arms. By mistake they sent me the wrong size sleeves but I emailed Scott to tell him about the issue and requestin the right size sleeves.

Next thing I know, i get a goodie box from camburg with all sorts of stickers, a T shirt and 3 sets of bushings and 2 different sleeves sizes.

Thanks Scott for the follow up service. :kewl:

The local Sears messed up one of my hubs by putting them back together wrong when they did my front wheel bearings about a month ago. Last Friday night I ordered a new set of Warn Premium Hubs from MY4BY.com for a killer price. They were the cheapest I could find. MLK Day was Monday so UPS would'nt pick them up until Tuesday morning. I received them Thursday night and installed them Saturday morning. I think two day shipping from Florida to Massachusetts is pretty respectable. I'll use these guys again in a heartbeat!! :xbeer3: :xbeer3:

I must say, these folks are great. I'm on a budget, so I'm buying gears front and rear seperately. I ordered a set of Yukon 4.56's from PORC Friday, but since that gear is on back order w/ Yukon, they gave me a call and informed me and asked if I would like to go w/ Precision Gears instead, and at a better price. From other peoples past experiences, it seems like most will just "re-package" another brand of gears in the prefered box and not even ask if the customer would like Brand X over Brand Y. I think it says a lot about these guys to give a customer a call to make sure its ok before they ship their parts out. Big thumbs up for PORC. Expect more business from me!

C.B.I. Off road fab built my rear bumper and I'll definitely go through him before any one else. His stuff rocks!

ARB actually was great to work with...I was doing a will call out of seattle and they thought they had my leafs but didn't. so they shipped 'em across the state to me for free. I thought I might get screwed because they are the off roading giant you could say...

Bailey's truck salvage. Great prices and fast shippring - got my flat top knuckles from them.

I second that! Jacque was very responsive and took the time to answer my questions regarding the products I was buying. The number one thing that I noticed was his promptness when calling back. In this day and age, when you're dealing with customer reps or "parts guys" that have heavy workloads, or deal with 100's of people, some of us don't often realize, but they are one person and "we" are just a number in the 100's! My initial dealing with Jacque was very much like yours; responsive, friendly, and willing to take time answer questions, or find out from someone who knew and get back with you about the answer, as in your case. This shows that Jacque is VERY organized and takes pride in what he does! Keep up the great work! You guys get the most praise from any vendor I see on this board! There is a reason for that!

Thanks, Tony

Awhile back I posted about problems I had with PORC. Since then, I have gotten a couple emails from Alex and I can tell that he doesn't like a customer being dissatisfied. Taking the time to email and discuss the problem with me, even after I mentioned that I had already bought what I needed, definately changed my opinion of them. I'm sure that most people on here already like doing business with PORC but since I posted a complaint, I feel that it is my responsibility to follow up with this post. Alex has a reputation for great customer service and, now, I can see why.

Allpro offroad. Yeah, I know I know, their name can conjure up many opinions both ways. Before I start, for those who have not been the most pleased.
Every business has days, even months, at times where things just don't seem to gel for them and as such, will have customers who bought from them at that time who are gonna be on the bandwagon/look out, to post up there bad dealings with such and such company. How about NOT doing so here, AND, how about cutting some slack, chalking it up to business growing pains, no one is perfect, WHATEVER it takes for you to let go, forgive and look at the 4 other fingers pointing back at you, while your pointing your finger of condemnation at whoever you are pointing out how imperfect they are, cuz you are imperfect too. Okee-dokie?

So as many know I busted a second ring gear at the hammers in April, yes April..... hey I've been crazy busy.... anyway, I called to order and pay for a new set from AP and John said oh no you don't, send me that pig, I wanna put in a set for you for free and make sure you are GOLDEN! ( can you hear the ding sound when you read that? )
So I sent it to him and he HOOKED ME UP!!!
  :xbeer1: :xbeer1: :kewl: :kewl: :dancing: :dancing: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Not only did he put in some top notch gears, but since the non e-locked 3rd has no solid coller available for it and only a crush sleeve, John took it down to one of his drag racing buds and had a solid spacer machined for me out of 4340 chromoly steel. I have the only one of its kind in existence.
What this also means now is that he was able to take general measurements to be the company that will put them into production at some point, you'll have to use shims for the exact-ness unlike me with the perfectly machined size. :wiggle: :neener: :lmao: :xpimp:
Not only did he do all this for me, now remember, he sold me AT COST the first set I put in after I broke my 3rd at AZRocks, so he has eaten a lot on this, he did all this WHILE having all the pressure of the FJ build/photo shoot for the mag going on in his shop, and let me tell you the customer service and feedback where more than professional when something was gonna be delayed etc.
So I want to say to ALL...... yes even those who may have had PAST.....PAST problems, that AP is a stand up place, oriented around making you happy and confident in their products. Are they perfect..... no, but no one is, including you.
So John and Sarah and everyone at AP, THANK YOU! Sorry it took me so long to get to what should have been done right away.
(Also just so people know, I have BOUGHT stuff from them before too and then too was I happy and this is not just a props because I got stuff for free only post.)

I recently just purchased some used Ext. Donahoes off a member here on the TTORA board. I called up DR to send them in for a rebuild before I put them on my truck. I believe I spoke with Ryan who was very easy to talk to and seemed like somebody I would shoot pool and drink a beer with at the local pub.

Shipped them up to DR on Thursday. DR calls me up Monday morning to ask if I ever experienced any odd noises from the C/O's. I explained I just bought them used, then Jeremy goes into the lower bearing on the C/O's needed to be replaced. That's going to cost $10 per side additional to the $40 rebuild which received new coils and new shafts. Jeremy was equally as easy to speak with as well.

Well I just received my rebuilt Ext. Hoes today. Wow....these C/O's look almost brand new. New shafts, coils, lower bearings, and to my surprise they even put new top plates on them too.

All in all.....I just wanted to share the superb customer service and speedy turn-around time on the rebuild. :kewl:

Thanks DR!!!

-Jack

Not at all man

I'm taking the UCA's off, right after I print up some install instructions and right down all the torque spec's.

I should have your cv's and spindles and everything ready for you after tonight. So we can work something out to get your parts back to you.

DR didn't say they were bad...they just noticed that 1 of them looked like it needed a little help. So I just had them replace both of them.

I'm stoked :D

what was happening with yours?

They made a noise when cycled and had a couple of years of abuse. I could feel they were not the same as they were but considering what they’d been through, I was totally happy and will probably just make a thing of getting them rebuilt again in a year and a half or two. When I got my Deavers, I popped the Donahoes off and dropped them off at their place (I live up the road). Someplace on here I have the story . . but they are serial numbers 00003 and 00004, apparently the first pair of in-house made coilovers that they sold! 00001 and 0002 are in their possession. So, they really just went home to visit and tell of their travels! When I picked them up and slapped them on, they were better than new! Plus the folks down there could not be more friendly and the entire sequence of events was perfect. Donahoe is a great company with whom to deal and I cannot recommend them enough.

I have to give it up to Karl at JT's Parts & Accessories

When I called him up for a quote he put together a damn good deal on a gear/locker combo and he answered every question I had in great detail. I told him I was gonna look around some more and when he called me with a follow up he matched everyprice I could find- Damn good guy and damn good company to buy from.. Definately recommend for any diff parts/accessories

Was the price of the coils and shafts included in the 40 bucks? You just exchanged them for new ones no charge? If that is it thats great. I'm in the process of buying some used hoes off of another member.

Yup. I noticed a few little pits on 1 shaft, and the coils paint was starting to flake off. I didn't expect to get new shafts and coils though. It was $40 per coilover.

I picked up a set of the Syncro seats myself. Installed them in January of this year. I recently had 1 of the reclining mechanism fail on me though. Contacted them last week and need to call them back. I'll post up info regarding their customer service after I have this resolved.

Please let us know, I'm about to pick up some Synkro seats for myself in the near future but I'll take my business elsewhere if they're custom service is less than par. From all the communication I've had with them in the past, I would assume they would have good customer service.

Just got off the phone with Hunsaker, explaining the situation with the seat. They looked up my order and are shipping a new seat. :)

My seat decided to stop supporting me. The reclining mechanism isn't operating properly, and Hunsaker seemed to know about this.

No hassle at all. I give a thumbs up for customer service. :kewl:

Another positive comment for Wheeler's:
www.wheelersoffroad.com

I was looking for Camburg UCA's and I contacted several dealers - all of which are TTORA Sponsors.

Only two of these vendors responded - Wheeler's responded almost immediatley - but apparently Camburg UCA's were backordered with everyone.

I was very displeased with the lack of communication with the other vendors (even the other one that initially responded) but Jason @ Wheeler's Off Road stayed in constant contact with me, giving me an update by e-mail every few days on the status of the Camburg UCA's. I placed my order with Wheeler's based solely on their superior customer service.

This was not my first purchase from Wheeler's Off Road, and it will NOT be my last.

I will almost surely go through Wheeler's 1st from now on, when buying anything that is available through them.

Last night (Halloween) I came home from work to a nice treat! the steering ram given away from one of our newest sponsors Dave'z offroad performance http://www.davezoffroadperformance.com/

the ram was exactly as described, with bright new-ness oozing from everything! (not actually oozing as the ram was in perfect shape but you get the idea)

Dave was even cool enough to ship I don't know how many decals and stickers as I requested.

I haven't installed the parts yet, but judging by appearence of the package and parts inside, everything is going to go together easily.

the parts were very well packaged, nothing shifted or banged against any other parts inside the box.

For a new sponsor to jump on board as they did with a brand new give away the first day they posted was cool, especially since I was the winner! :neener:

Great communication via their parts forum, and was quick to ship, as well as packaged safely as I described earlier

Just wanted to share an awesome experience...I just searched high and low on the web for some new Bilstein 5150's for my 01 Taco. Found one place in Florida that had them $99.00 with free shipping Blah Blah...Long story short Arthur, and Mark over there at SHOX.COM Beat the price shipped, no questions asked and offered to throw in bushings for free. On top of that they are throwing in stickers and a magnet, yeah, I know, free advertising but I will display them w/out reservations- these guys deserve it. They also guaranteed UPS will have it here in three days or less.
1. Unbelieveable service.
2. Great Guys, and I know for a fact that....
3. ...they will hook anyone here up with a price match. They did it for me. Highly recommended. Here's the Poop on them.

When I orginally did my Trail-Gear SAS I somehow lost one of my bumpstops and the bumpstop extension. So I have been running around with only a bumpstop and the extension on one side of my rig

On trail gear it only lists the bumpstops available in a with with 2 bumpstops and 2 extensions. Today I finally got around to calling to order some gears and stuff and see about getting another bumpstop with the extension. I was hoping they would just sell me one of each rather than having to buy the set, and get it at half price. I wouldn't have been mad if I had to buy the set though, it was my fault for losing the thing to begin with.

Well they ended up just giving me a new bumpstop and extension for free! If that's not good service I don't know what is!! It was totally my fault for losing the thing.

Wasn't sure where the best spot was for this, so I will try here.

Ordered from TRDparts4u.com on Dec 5th. Hadn't gotten my order as of yesterday. Called and talked to them and there was a mixup wth my order and it hadn't shiped yet. They said they would take care of ASAP. I was assuming this would mean it would ship that day and I would see it in a week. I got a overnight UPS package today with my parts this mornig. I am amazed considering it was only 15 bucks worth of parts.

Just wanted to say thanks again and anyone else who needs OEM parts should look to them.

Posting up for INCHWORM!

Jim @ Inchworm is an awesome guy! Great guy to deal with, extremely knowlegable, and very personal with customers.

He made sure I got exactly what I needed and then some. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Inchworm! ...I just wished I still lived in Cali so I could have them install my junk!

budbuilt.com didn't have the skidplate I needed in stock and I needed one fast. He cut down a larger one, welded it up and got it on the fedex truck within the hour. Bud went well out of his way to make sure my stuff would make it coast to coast on time and it did.

I have also had good experiences with:

All-Pro Off-Road, Hemet,Ca
Supreme Muffler, Torrance, Ca

I had no idea this section was here before this week... but this is long overdue. :)

I contacted CBI (http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/) about a front bumper. Steve went over the specifics, sent pictures and we finally came to a conclusion on the design. I then decided to pre-pay since my money has a way for disappearing. Being very busy it took a little longer than expected to receive the bumper. I was contacted by Steve prior to shipment in which he apologized for the wait time and offered $100 gift cert or additional product.

I received the bumper shortly after, exactly the way we had discussed. I then installed the bumper on my truck. There were a few fitment issues, so we marginally secured it with 3 bolts to make a Moab trip. During this time, the truck it was on was destroyed but the bumper survived. With minimal tweeking considering, the bumper was re-installed on a new Taco. Shortly after this I got contacted by Steve because he found out his jig had some faults that explained why we had a few issues installing the bumper the first time. He offered to send me a new bumper or atleast another $100 gift cert.

In conclusion, the product managed to survive a 45 foot drop bumper first with minimal damage and the customer service and follow up from Steve and the rest of his shop was phenomenal. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Steve and CBI ever! :D

I wanted to do both vendors in seperate posts because I believe they deserve that!

I bought a pair of rock sliders and a rear bumper from Demello (http://www.demello-offroad.com/catalog/) back at the end of August. He was always prompt with responses. I let him know that the rear bumper was not a priority but that I wanted my slider before the Oct Moab event. He had the sliders to me a week prior to the event so I had time to weld them on. He had the rear bumper to me about a week later. Product was exactly how it was advertised and looks awesome. I get a lot of compliments on both bumpers.

The sliders have been on both the silver Taco and the new red one. The bumper finally made it on the new truck after more than 3 months. When we went to put it on we noticed that there were no brackets. We contacted Jason who sent brackets promtly and with no questions even after such a long period of time. The customer service and follow up on his part was also fantastic. Props to Jason and his team would highly recommend also :D

Well, got my springs on today and they are pretty sweet ;) ..but...I ordered new ubolts through them also (I was told I needed them) well they were too wide and I was able to use my stock ubolts. 50 bucks down the drain  . Great springs just make sure to do your reading before buying ;)

i would give them a call anyways. if they are brand new and the threads haven't been messed up, then i don't see a problem with returning them.\

$50 is a lot of beer!

Call the fuckers up and demand them to either refund the funds of the ubolts or for them to send you the proper ubolts. Hell they had the springs, they should have seen the ubols as not fitting!

use that agaist them!

oops, forgot to tell you about that...

just call them up and explain the problem and offer to exchange them for some lift shackles...shouldn't be any trouble but you never know with them.
I just returned the bolts after finding out they were not needed (and were the same length anyway  )

I'm just surprised you didn't get the full 3" out of them. I wonder if after more than 4yrs of people telling them about the amount of lift their HDs ACTUALLY give they finally did something, LOL

NWOR has the worst customer service of any business. They have been know to sell many things based on wrong information and then not accept return. From what I have noticed people buy things from them once and never again... Their stuff isnt even priced that good.

Hope this is in the right section...Long story short... I had bought some sliders from Demello... had a small mix-up(as we all know this happens to all of us, & I explained I was about an hour and a half to 2hrs from their shop and what my situation was...) Jason corrected it instantly & without any hassels! Everyone there was cool, professional and did a exceptional job! ( ie: customer service, product & workmanship.... I just wish I would have been able to tip them more!)

I would rate my experience & satisfaction with product and service @ a 10!

Thanks again Jason and crew!

I talked with Bud about what I needed and gave him my order. The only problem I told him was my stock mount holes where trash I was willing to cut them off and use the U-bolt kit to do the install. BAM 2 days later it’s on the front porch! When I went to install I found I dint give him all the info and received the wrong part. This was on a Sunday morning mind you, so I thought I’d just call and leave him a message not expecting a call till Monday. Next thing I know I my phone is ringing an hour later and its Bud told me he had a like truck at the shop and he would figure it out and call me back. Monday morning I got a phone call saying it was in the mail. A+++ service!!
