FYI for anyone planning a trip up to Tellico.

Crawfords is closed from 12/1 to 3/1 for renovations

Yep, for sure. I know last time I was up there he was building some small bunk houses by the rock garden but didn't realize he would be closing down for the renovations.

BTW, you can rent the cabins at Crawfords but not the campsites.

thanks for the info., i doubt I would be ever camping in the cold. I dont' do well when temp drops that low. Look on the bright side, it will be renovated in the end.

When you guy are talking about Tellico you mean Tellico Plains by the Cherokee Nat'l Forest?

I have family in Tellico Plains, my brother lives there and my dad is from there. They have some great trout fishing. Never wheeled there though.

You are very lucky Upper Tellico is one of the most popular wheelin' destinations on the East Coast!!!! You gotta chk it out w/us on our upcoming snow run.

I'm not much of a cold camper anymore either. Getting to old for that sh*t, which is why I bought a camper. The new owner is really cool and I think we will see great things from the "Crawford" campground in the future. The bunk houses are going to be pretty cool from what the guy was telling me.
