Well we started the day off great, on the SECOND hill all hell broke out. Ryan from FL started up the hill and ahh damn. He hit a rock and his inner tie rod broke in half. So by the time i got down to him he was stuck in sideways on a hill/side of the trail. So Ed went down to winch him up and off, we didn't know the full extent then. We get Ed tied off and start the process, hell breaks out on Eds winch. Sparks and smoke start flying out of everywhere. Eventually we got Ryan's truck unstuck and it took all that Ed's winch had. Then we found out that Ryan's steering was shot. So the rest of the day we went searching for the part. Eventually Colin had to run up to Murphy for the part. Come to find out that Ed melted his positive winch cable all the way through. In the end, it wasn't a killer break. Everyone got off the moutain too. Colin has some pics. It was great to get out and all. :)

I'm just glad it wasn't worse. Finding the part was the bad part about that trail fix. However your choice of locations to break could use some improvement (no beer for miles). Having to practically 'repel' into recovery position w/the Runner was exciting to say the least! Just kiddin' you did great ... Beasley was great ... spectacular views ... but scary at times ... w/out the leaves.
Now, what's up w/that winch????? I didn't know she smokes! ... atleast she didn't completely die. Christian you got recovery duty next time! Colin post up some pics, I didn't take one pic.
Everybody have a great Christmas!

Beasley turned into a pain..
Now now, dont let not having mud-terrains get to you. It was a great and interesting ride. You should seen Ryan when he turned around in the spot we parked him for repairs. He was not far from a good flop.
Here's pics: http://community.webshots.com/album/527809400cVUgea sorry not the best but not the worst.

yeah Ed told me Ryan had to turn around right there. I wish you could of gotten a poser shot of him about to flip. The florida ppl would of loved to see one of their own in that predicament.

Well guys I just worked onmy truck a little bit before we are going to dinner and I found that my outer tie rod end is also nicely bent, then I noticed that my idler arm is completely shot. An alignment wouldnt do crap with that thing so now I get to replace that! Woo hoo. At least I like to work on my truck :)
