With the embargo lifted, looks as if there may be some better info out on the FJC now:

I wouldn't mind having one. Drive it for a couple of years and then do the swap on it after the new has wore off of it!

That shouldn't take you very long!

Thanks for the link, I enjoyed the article. While I haven't seen it in person the video showed the back seats pretty well. I think they are making too big a deal of out how hard it is to get in there.

My guess is that the auto reviewer had a hard time getting back there and said it was a problem. On the other hand, my six year old daughter would zip in there without a thought then give the guy a puzzled look wondering why he thinks it's hard.

It's a neat truck and it probably replaces the tacoma as the most capable stock off-road toyota. <ducks for cover> The rubicon is probably still the #1 stock off-road vehicle though.

I think I might get one myself. I need my own SUV with the baby here.

I'd take one in a heart beat. Unfortunately I have an 05. Maybe I can leave it unlocked with the door wide open and someone will steal it...making the way for a nice new FJ :-)

nah, go for the new design 4dore taco with the long bed (still 6' though)
Keep the taco in the family :) The FJ is only for thoes with multiple kids and a a nother driver who insits on always driving it (and doesnt want a full beded truck)
