Has anyone removed the bed sides as seen in this exploded view #3

I've got some good dents here and wondering if it will be easier to knock it out from the other side or do some bondo work. Also anyone have paint recomendations that will allow me to use high gloss paint close to factory in a rattle can. The flat black stands out too much against the rest of the factory paint.

Maybe the dealership has paint you could use? If not, I'm sure a local body shop would have something. As for removing the bedsides, I've only seen it done with a plasma torch so I can't help you out there, best of luck to you!

go to www.color-rite.com, they have factory matched paint. I used it on my street bike to paint the rims and the color match was perfect

you're gonna have to drill out the spot welds that hold em' on there, just make sure you don't drill all the way thru b/c you need something to tack em' back up to....

yeah you need to use a special spot weld drill bit if you plan to reattach them. Just know that its pretty labor intensive to do what you are talking about. If you want to try it though I have several bits in 8mm and 10mm size.Otherwise just mud it and be done

It is a royal PITA. If you want to put them back on you have to spot weld them back in or use bolts... which would look like ass. They are also pretty hard to get off without bending them off more.

Just use a puller, and bondo... or find a bed at a wreaking yard.
