I'm going to get some new tires in a couple of weeks, and I was going to get 15" wheels and 32x11.50's. I have decided since then to stay with my stock wheels for now. I have 265/75/16 M/T's and have absolutely no rubbing issues at all. I've seen a few with 285's on a 2.5" lift and was wondering if they are going to rub really bad or not. If they are going to be a problem I'll just stick with 265/75's.

I say go for it :D
Get mud terrains too, no mall terrains allowed.
The 285 is, on paper anyway, a 33.1" tire (tirerack.com). Im running a 33x10" BFG MT (32.8) on 2.75". I think youll be fine, it WILL rub. But its not that bad, it doesnt bother me :D If anything crank the SAWs another .25"
Ill get a pic'r two, gimme a bit...

Well what I'm worried about is that it's wider than a 10.50 so I don't know if it's going to be worth a damn on stock wheels. What's the bs on the stock alloys? 4.5"?
No mall terrains? :( I'm getting the cheapest tires Wal-mart has! I can't stand these friggin M/T's anymore on the highway. They shake my guts out and my arms are sore from having to grip the wheel so tight. I just drove back from chattanooga and am sore all over. I do way too much driving on the interstate to get another set of M/T's!
I was going with the uniroyal liberator A/T in either 265 or 285...just don't know what size yet. I'm probably gonna do like you said and just say screw it and get the 285's. It rubbed with the 265/75's before the lift and it wasn't bad at all.

I'm too lazy to pull the tires off to really beat the weld down. I think I'll just ride around without any fenders for awhile until I get the lift money together and everything ordered. I'll use a few large bungee cords to hold the hood in place.. or not.
Havin fun with that camera Colin? Lots and lots of pics haha. Looks like you gotta good one with all the black and whites you're getting and colors too. That's pretty nifty if I do say so myself. Y'all have a good one. I'm goin to bed.

Yeah if I'm not going to go with M/T's I might as well get a larger tire size. Get something out of the deal, ya know. Hell, once I get the manual hubs I'll raise the front to a full 3" and then I'll get a set of 1" shackles for the rear.

Alright, 285's it is. Those tires actually looked decent for $105 a piece. I get a 40K warranty too. I'll let everyone know how crappy they are. :D

Which tires were they? The walmart here has BFG A/Ts in the stock 265/70/16 for like $107 a piece.

Go to the Walmart website. They have a tire section.

The 265/75's were $87 and the 285's were $104, that's the price Wal-Mart gave me when I called them. I have to get new tires because I really do too much highway driving to justify M/T's. Besides, I have a winch now. :)

sorry so late to this post, i have 285's on my dc with 882's and i only rub the fender flare in the rear and frame up front. with stock rims it is VERY close to the a-arm and upper balljoint and there is no way to air down without contact. i don't rub the pinch weld at all but since i'm gettitng new rims i think i will be when offroad'n. hope this helps
