I've done such a good job at work here at the office that i have been informed that i'm going to be making a move soon and i think it sucks..

I mean there are good things about this but i think there are more bad of it.

The good things are:
Good Raise
Head of Material & Equiptment for a multi-million $$ project
Higher position with in the company
Still get to keep phone.

I Really really need more $$$ but i'm losing alot of perks

The bad things:
No more tools
No more going home to sleep and take naps
No more company truck (I think)
No more Laptop ( I think)
Will be in the feild (granted is a mine own office but in the plant)
No more taking time off and still charging the company for not being here
No more being late and leaving early every week
No lunch & free stuff from my vendors because i will be in the feild
No playing on the net all day
Also less time off in general (no playing for awhile0

The 1st superident that i work for at this company kept saying that he wanted me to be with him out in the feild and i kept passing because i don't think this position will be open to come back to ( Feild work people get laid off & shifted around from plant to plant as where as i been at the office fro about 4 yrs. since comming from the feild.)

This job is supposed to last about 9 months - 1 yr.

I'm not to sure when this change will take place we are almost garrentee to get the project at that time i will be moved to Start Up Team and start work

Do what I do use every opportunity you get to network back into a comfort zone. Sometimes climbing the ladder means putting up with crap but eventually you get some clout you can ultimatley get where u want to be or at least comfortable with. Giving up those naps is going to be hard though Good Luck brother..

Yea lol.
My main thing is is that when this job ends will I be brought back to the office to my current position, get bump down and have to be in the field or possibly get laid off if the same position isn't at any of the other plants. I've been with the company 7 years now. I just want to make sure I'm not being force into a temp position from my perm position. I have a meeting with one of my bosses in 2 weeks for my 7th year evaluation and I will talk to him about it more..

Congratulations!! - I think...LOL

Thanks LOL
I going to find out alot more on my 7th yr evaluation. I like and want the $$$ just don't know if this is a temp to perm position, temp to none position, or temp them back to my reg. perm position..

Talk to the super and it looks like i don't have a choice i'm the person he wants for this and with a project this big i'm the person he is going to get. I'm sure everything will work out and the $$$ will be good but now National & TX T.O might be iffy untill i find out more about my schedule also looks like overtime is going to come with it.

Danm now i got to start learning how to be on time and be resposible again.. All that being lazy work gone down the drain LOL
