so this seems like a newbie kinda of question, but i don't want to be chasing this one. My driver brake light is out, but my driving lights work w/ that brake light. So its not the bulb, is it the fuse?

You may have put the bulb in the wrong way.

The bulb has two sides, maybe one is burned out. I'd replace that first.

you nailed it on the head man, I found out that the bulb was a dual filament one, just one of the filaments was burned out.

The lights I use to coon hunt have the BM type bulbs with dual filaments and a lot of the time the high side blows when you don't let it warm up.
