Sterring box isn't new. It was in bad shape visually so I sand blasted it and painted it then sent off to PSC (great guys) to have it rebuilt and tapped for hydro assist in the future. That's where I found out the guy who sold me the box sold it to me with a bent and twisted sector shaft so 65 more dollars later it's ready to go. Long days and tired nights but it's coming along well. Hutch...I wasn't too nervous, who am I kidding I was worried but the hard part hasn't happend yet. Tommorow is shackle mount's, mock up and sterring and then probably some finishing touches with a test run on Monday. Thanks for the help to all involved. Mark you gotta come by tomorrow to get some more pics. See ya tomorrow.

Interesting rear mounts! Is this common practice now or something original?

At the time these pics were taken there were no rear mounts welded in place.

Rear mounts??? Well she's almost done. Now that I am back to the real world and I have smoothed things over with the wife for being gone for 5 days I can ahngout on the net. Had a paint party yesterday so it all looks good now. Waiting on a replacement bumper from badland bumpers.com and that should be here this week then off to powder coater. Now I need to get the ass end back up to match and get a new front drive shaft and all will be good. Big thanks to all who helped I don't want to leave anyone out but thanks so much to Greg for working so hard, Woody for his grinding abilities, Nate for his abilities to get donuts, Kurtis for being the master with the grinder and damn he makes a great gofer, and last but not least Michael (Rockdust Fabrication) for some great fab work and letting us hog up his garage for the weekend. It was a fun time but really long. Thanks to anyone else who was a part of it and i owe you big. More pic's to come in the next few days when I send them to Mark to post. See ya at the trail.

Sounds pretty cool. Did I miss the pictures of your finished swap? I'd like to see how it turned out. From the pictures I saw it looked like you were doing a really good job with your swap :kewl:

Nope, you didn't miss them. We're all still waiting for them. If you ask me, I think Tim needs a lot of constant badgering and name calling until he posts them. :)

I think what you were seeing is the mounts from the Fabtech lift that was on it..

We might have not gotten all the fabtech stuff off at the time the pictures were taken. TacoCrazy is right for suggesting.

Clearly I have not been badgered enough. I need more b4 I post the pic's. J/k. I haven't gotten my new bumper put on it or the rear end lifted up to match the front yet. I am waiting to get the weight of the bumper and winch back on it to hopefully let the springs sag a little so I can order springs. I'll send a pic to Mark at NCTTORA and have him post it up.

More badering is required, we just want to see the front end on it. Even without the bumper ;)
Some mock up pics. Not 56 K friendly.
