Thanks for all of the international NASA sponsered tech help from across the pond on the truck and use of your driveway space.

Great to have you back. I see Rick is going to use your driveway for a little longer :D I got mine back together the other day. One of the only problems is that it didn't solve my noise

[QUOTE=ATLRoach]What's wrong with the truck now?

His wheel bearing went out on him and he is having problems with his local mechanic. So, the truck is going back to Jacks for the removal of the knuckle with the bad wheel bearing.

What a shame both Rick and I have had wheel bearings go out recently.

No kidding, I think we are getting beat up by the carma police for something we may have done in some previous life or some crap!

I am now waiting at the house, on this beloved and wonderful holiday for UPS to hopefully deliver my bearings so I can have it pressed in and I can drive to work with everything done to my truck!....But last night I had a dream....that some a@&clown would be given a holiday and UPS would have that day off along with many others! :soapbox:

No, A co-worker and I moved a lot of stuff from the apartment into the house. I still haven't had a chance to try what he recommended. I should have time this weekend and if it doesn't work I will be seeing Patrick. On Friday I have to take the truck up to athens to have PORC fix the leaking seal on the rear diff. I am not happy about that one! I have not had a great experience with PORC and will be taking my business to 4x4 Customs.

Make sure you didn't overfill the diff...I had the same problem being that it had no where to go and was coming out of the pinion seal.

How much are you guys filled to? I am around 3/8's of an inch below the fill plug.

It would expand and start coming out when the gears heated up. Make sure you change the oil every 300 miles until the oil comes out clear then change it every 15k.

Thanks for the info. I am sure the gears will be grinding a little more metal after the 500 mile oil change. The problem is that I don't trust a leaking seal. Correct me if I am wrong. If the oil can leak out water and/or mud can get in?
