My ARB Bumper for the 05 came today.

Can't wait to get it on the truck......maybe I'll call in 'Well' to work tomorrow.

They were supposed to deliver it on Friday, so I took off of work and blew off the Friday run at WinterFest. The idiots never loaded it on the truck.

You can't believe how big the box is until you open it up and the bumper fills the box.

I'm stoked!!!

Good for you. Now please read your post and point out the technical parts. I just can't seem to find any.

Cool stuff, Chris. I wonder how much the front end will sag with the new bumper.

yup mine is sitting in the garage still, its going to go on this weekend along with the xd9000 :) if i were you i would open up the white "goodie" bag and start sorting out the nuts and bolts. after i was done doing that, i realized i was missing all of the M10x1.5 nuts!!!! anyways, not a big deal but still, im glad i didnt discover that when mounting the damn thing... now someone move this post somewheres other than 4wheel tech

btw are you in gilroy??? i am near palo alto, about 30 minutes south of san francisco

Thanks for the info on the bolts. I'll check them out, although I cannot imagine anything more fun than driving around Gilroy without a front bumper!

I am in Gilroy, roughly 20 minutes from Hollister and more importantly for the real hard core wheeling, less than 10 minutes from the outlet malls.

Are you running a lift on yours? Mine is currently stock and as Adam said, I am wondering how much sag I am going to get in the front, I am debating whether I should bite the bullet and order a set of camburgs for the front.

I was looking at the winch install instructions. With my XJ bumper it was just a matter of bolting the winch in. WIth this ARB it looks pretty involved(rewiring the control box, etc.....). I'm just kicking myself that I didn't take the Warn off of the Cherokee!

What day are you planning on installing it?

i am hoping this saturday or maybe sunday (although church comes first)... lol i wanted to be the only one in nor cal with the ARB bumper and the impulse red truck haha :) I have the tuff country spacer kit and blocks in the rear on my truck which equate to around 3''s of lift. I am planning on loosing around half an inch in the front... no big deal. The ARB front bumper should also open up some space (even though it makes the front end sag) and allow me to fit 285/75s w/o rubbing. definately tear that white bag open though and see what your in for. I am also hoping to get camburgs or hoes soon (i first promised myself i wouldnt mod my truck at all, and then over a thousand dollars later i have a new winch, a new front bumper, and a lift kit:)). I dont think the winch install will be that difficult, but ill get back to you after this weekend to let you know how everything went. I am not that excited about spray painting my truck, but cedarbarn says its not visable when you put the stock bumper back on. BTW, to take out the plastic fasteners that hold the front bumper on, just pry them off at the bottom with a flathead screw driver (you gotta pry though). when you get your front bumper installed and i get mine put in, lets show them off at hollister!

Are you running an Impulse red as well, I thought that you had poics posted of a white one?

??? you mean ARBs little blurb about painting the metal bracket? I have some black crinkle coat paint I got at home depot to touch up my sliders that I will probably use.

Sounds like a plan. I am looking forward to the better approach angles!

i'd love to hear some feedback about the ARB, i'm really leaning toward the All Pro bumper for my 05 right now

Removal of the stock bumper really isn't that hard, i've had mine off once (long story) it really wasn't that much work... (i put it back on too)

Would you like to walk me through it then or write up a mini tutorial thing. I just dont want to miss any of those plastic fasteners and try prying it off just to break something.

a while back, it needs bigger tires and wheels... those are petes on the truck... 15'' rims are too small and rub on the calipers up front... i have no clue what size tires those are, but they would rub at full compression... i think it looks bad ass though, cant wait until i get my truck on 16'' steelies and bfg mts :)

Ask Dean. He found that his was a little big and stuck out too far and got in the way last spring so he took it off in favor of something that he tweaked for a lower profile.
