Its a pickup, toyota didn't name the Taco till late 1995.

The only useful thing in there is the smaller shackles. The winchs are only good for pulling a boat or something light onto a trailer. The other shackles are TOO big.

I would pay 1k to $1,200 at the most. Good plaform to start a project though!

old dana 27 from my scout. has 4.27 gears, locking warn/IH hubs, almost 2 year old wheel cylinders. free if you come get it, otherwise its going in the trash. located in 33903

There is a reason it's free. The D27 isn't a good axle for wheeling, thats why the Scout's came with D44s.

I find it much better to wheel something I don't have to drive everyday. For me it is a reliability issue. Also I don't want to beat on a truck I paid 25K for either. It allows me the freedom to repair anything that might break at my leasure. If you can afford to I would definately recommend saving and buying something like that. Just stay away from anything that is not original, unless you have a load of experience with with the mechanics of both the truck that you are buying and the motor that has been swapped into it. That's my :2cents:

So true, Now that I sold my F350 I can't wheel my Runner like I use to cause I have to drive it daily for a few months.
