what are you talking about?
If you are painting your bumper then properly sand it , degrease it and if necessary seal it.then any paint should stick. If its chrome then it's advisable to strip the chrome and go thru the stages of painting

It's not really necessary to strip the chrome. Just rough it up good, prime and paint it.

I plan on getting a rear wrap around bumper soon, but until then my rear bumper is the only thing not black on my truck. Dont wanna do anything complicated just wanna black it out and have it easy to touch up if i go wheelin.

While this is true the adhesion isn't all that great. When you offer a lifetime warranty on paint work, the chrome has to come off. But, for a trail truck this will work but I would reccommend an adhesion promoter before the primer goes on

are you talking about that rustoleom hammered finish paint? if you are just so you know, i have used it many times (painted a whole jeep cj5 with it) and two things... one, i works great, sticks well lays flat and even with a cool slight texture. two, it's not black even though it's called black it's more of a gun metal grey. so if you are trying to black out your truck i don't recomend it.

yea, i like it alot too, i am going to paint my sliders, front bumper, and tire carier with it because i like how durable it is and i think the forest green truck with that gun metal grey would look great. and not to many people are running it.

As Texan noted, even though it is called black, it definately isn't. Gun metal gray is actually a pretty good description, with a very slight texture. As far as sticking, I painted my sliders with it a little over a week ago and after a couple wheelin trips I only have one small section that chipped off a little. Other than that just the usual little scratches that sliders get when used. I'm really happy with it, and like how it contrasts with my black truck. I plan to paint my allpro front bumper with it as well when it finally gets here  . Pic:
