Bestop for Taco?

I was just check out Performance Products website, trying to see if I needed anythign I could use the 10% off coupon they sent, when I saw this:

Apparently Bestop's making a soft top for Tacomas now. I beleive it's fairly new; if anyone has experience with the Tacoma top I'd like to hear it. Other Bestop experiences, especially with the truck back setup, would also help.

He has the Softopper, the bestop is new, the new line was displayed at SEMA this year. It does look pretty nice with the side windows, and the price is comparable if not a little better (I believe Brian got his cheaper through a dealer on Ebay) than the Softopper.

That top looks pretty cool! I was wondering if they would make one to fit 96-04 Tacomas, looks like it finally happened :) Can't beat the price on that one, I wish I got that instead of the Softopper, I really dig the windows. Anyone want to buy my Softopper so I can try this one out??? :D

prob not, lifting does not make the bed and cab height diff, unless you screwed up your body lift.
Close your eyes and think you see more space under the truck, that what it will look like. sry for the :flamethro but had 2

There website is showing it at $499.95. Has anyone bought one for there '05/'06 Taco and what are the pros/cons. Seriously thinking about buying one with my tax return as well. I really like how it rolls up so when you aren't using it it prevents drag - but can it also roll out flat? I doubt it does but that'd be "hella-sweat."

I actually don't like the looks of the bestop as much as the softopper. I don't like the plastic window look, for similar reasons as to why I also don't like softop jeeps.

I agree the hardtops do look better and I would let me child ride in the back with a soft top (in case an accident), but the roll-up option is just awesome. It looks like it'll serve my general purpose of putting stuff (wood, camping equipment, groceries) in the back I don't want to get wet from Washington state rain.

You can get them with no windows, side windows in clear or tinted, or mesh side windows for pets.
