well i traded in my tacoma last week and bought an 03 tundra TRD limited package, in dark green.....The truck is awesome! But im already wanting to do some mods to it...I was thinking of an air intake but it seems they cause the truck to lose some low end hp and torque, so i was wondering how well do the amsoil drop in air filters work??? seems everyone uses them on the tacomas but what about the tundra?

For optimal performance, stick with the stock filters. If you are really needing to have a reuseable filter, a drop in would be as far as I would go. Personally, any of the name brands will achieve what you want and have the same results as your previous taco.

I have an AEM intake, only because I got it for free. Prior I had a TRD drop in with a modified box. If I were to do it again, I'd stick with stock.

Not sure about those. Check out tundrasolutions.com and do a search for any feedback on those. I stopped reading on intake stuff.

Be careful with any intake mods. I have read on other sites that it seems to cause more problems than its worth. Some people love em', but I get nervous prompting that much air intake without working something on the fuel side. It will be interesting to see in 3-5 years if it is still a popular mod.

I just dropped in a K&N filter and left it at that. :D

Quite a few members had issues with the MAF sensor. Apparently some filters had too much oil and ended up on the MAF. Which, caused a CEL. I had a TRD drop-in, then got a free AEM intake, now I plan on going back to stock and stick with the stock filter.

O.K., forgive me, but what is the "MAF sensor" that could cause a "CEL????????????????????????????????????"

Sorry for the late response, just got back from vacation on the 26th. MAF is mass air flow. It's the sensor mounted on top of the stock air box.
