: 16x8 3.5 backspacing

I'm trying to find a 16x8 rim with 3.5 backspacing. I already did a search and am not finding much. Up to 3.75 would be o.k. Mickey Thompson has the classic lock ll, which is 3 5/8, but the 6-5 1/2 bolt pattern is hub centeric, which won't work with yotas. If anybody has links/pics /info let me know. I'm trying to avoid using wheel spacers. Thanks

Sorry to but in on your thread, but why wouldn't the 6-5 1/2 bolt pattern hub centric work?

Won't work cuz I guess that the same pattern description is used for older GM's but is different from what Toyota's require.

Any wheel which is 6-5 1/2 and not hub centric. Look on their website.

Here is a pic of my tacoma with the MT Classic 16x8 3 5/8 backspacing rims. They are universal and come with a plastic insert which is used for a GMC. I never had any problems with them on my truck.

Yah I was messing around on the Mickey Thompson site and did a application search and it came back with those on the list. I think the info must have been entered wrong on MT Classic spec section. I might just get those, but if anybody has any suggestions let me know as I will probably order my rims tomorrow.

what size tires are on them thar 16x8 Mickeys???? I'm considering them if i can fit a 265/75 with minimal rub......no lift yet, but eventually

I had the classic 2's with no lift and 265/75 bfg at's back about a year ago. When they put the rims on, i could barely turn the wheel, but i ended up driving 25 mins home anyways and then had to do the pinchweld mod and remove the mudflaps. Then there was only minimal rubbing while turning and hitting bumps. I would stay away from off-road while running the rim and tires with no lift though. Once i got about an inch of lift all rubbing issues were gone. Now i have stepped up to 285/75's with about 4" of lift with no rubbing issues.

so if i get the 16x8s and a 1" spacer then i shouldn't have a problem with rubbing with 265-75-16? If i lift the front 1" will i need to lift the rear or will this just even out the ride?

With one inch you may still need to do the pinchweld mod. Personally i would go 2" inches. Maybe with some donahoes or some sort of coilover. I'm hoping to get a set in the next year.

coilovers are overkill, not to mention to much coin for my application. i'll prolly beat the pinchwelds in and go for the 265/75 and more than likely stock rims for now..... then go with MT and a small lift in the near future........my plan anyway......still looking to see if i can squeeze out money for the rims too.

Ya they may be overkill, but i have the all-pro coilover's and i wanna try out the donahoe's cause the all-pro's aren't that great to me...i dont think the ride is the greatest but i also have nothing to compare to so, i wanna try the so called best coilover on the market and see. I think if i was you i would go with a 2-2.5 spacer lift up front with some shackle's in the rear. It would look good with 265/75's.
