I have a 2004 Tacoma 4 door, V6 TRD, 2 wheel drive, with 3300 miles on it. Since new, Sept 2004 I have a problem starting it. This problem does not happen all the time, maybe once or twice a week. The dealer can not duplicate the problem and can't help me find the problem. Has anyone else out there had the same problem with starting? It seems to happen when I am on a small incline and the truck has sat for a couple of hours. It cranks for about 10 seconds, then starts and is fine. If I turn the truck off, it will re-start without any problems.

There is a TSB about that problem. I found it on this site actually. Do a search and you should find a PDF describing it. They basically replace a wiring harness to a better one.

Also, I had the same problem with my Tacoma but didn't take it in for the TSB. Instead I did this http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=007801

and haven't had the problem come back yet. Just another option.
